Arsenal still interested in bring proven Premier League FREE agent to Emirates

Arsenal are still interested in bringing free agent Ryan Bertrand to the club over the summer window.

It is no secret that Arsenal are in the market for a new left-back during the summer transfer window as they need to add a viable option to the squad to help cover the brilliant Keran Tierney.

Cedric Soares has been used there on a number of occasions this season by Mikel Arteta before the Spanish boss opted to give Granit Xhaka a go at playing in that position, which never really worked out.

The 31-year-old confirmed his decision to leave Southampton in a lengthy statement on his social media pages last month, and there is alot of interest in his services having proven himself to be one of the best in the Premier League.

And reports on the Daily Express website have claimed that Arsenal remain very keen to try and bring him to the Emirates.

Leicester City are also keen on Bertrand – and with Europa League football to offer might be a more attractive destination, especially since Christian Fuchs’ departure.

Roundup…

The fact that Bertrand is on the market for nothing is something that Arsenal should take full advantage of as he is one of the best in the Premier League, so even though they are not in Europe, Arsenal would be a good move for the lad.

The Gunners will not have alot of money to splash in the transfer window, so they will need to add a few quality bargains to get back into those top four spots
