Frenchman says potential left-back Arsenal arrival ‘will be good signing’

Former Arsenal man Emmanuel Petit has ‘heard’ that Arsenal are interested in Turkey wing-back Ferdi Kadioglu this summer, who he says will be a good signing.

Kadıoğlu has played 51 official matches for Fenerbahçe this season, had 3 goals and 5 assists. The 24-year-old has a contract with Fenerbahce until June 2026, but is attracting all sorts of interest.

It has been claimed in recent weeks that both Napoli and ARSENAL are very much interested in adding the player to their respective squads at the end of the season, as his £25 million valuation is not alot of money.

According to recent reports on Ajan Spor, Kadioglu has emerged as a top target during the summer transfer window and the Gunners have now lodged an official move to try and get an early transfer deal done for the defender.

However, Fener want around £30m to let the full-back go after an impressive season. Borussia Dortmund are also understood to be interested in the 24-year-old and have already tabled a £21m offer.

“Another interesting one for Arsenal could be the Turkish left wing-back, Ferdi Kadioglu, who I’ve heard the club are interested in,” Petit told Gambling.com.

“He is good with the ball, has a great mentality and is always fighting until the end. He brings a lot of energy on the pitch.”

Kadıoğlu may be impressing a few sides and having a great season in the Turkish League, but he is not good enough for this current Arsenal side, he is not good enough for the Premier League and would most likely keep the bench warm at the Emirates.

As we said it is a massive claim to make and only time will tell if he does make the move, but we are sure that he will not be signing with ARSENAL in the next couple of months.
