‘Match made in heaven’ £30M star told ‘he will be driven’ to complete dream Chelsea move
Brad Friedel says he would happily ‘drive’ Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams to secure a transfer to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
It has been a few days now since news broke that Tyler Adams wants to leave Leeds and make a swift return to the Premier League, and that has led to reports that CHELSEA have been working hard over a deal.
Some rumors suggest he has agreed terms, some says a fee between the two clubs are agreed, and some say that he even may end up at Liverpool, but the Blues are interested in the man, and he will be certainly interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.
Now, ahead of his potential move to Stamford Bridge – Friedel has opened up and revealed that he will happily drive the midfielder to Chelsea in order to complete that dream switch.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“If he has the chance to go to Chelsea and play with Mauricio, then I will go drive, pick him up and take him down,” said Friedel. If he doesn’t get injured, then I think Leeds stay up.
“Incredible human being, first and foremost. He works harder than anyone I have ever coached in my life. He can play multiple positions. His best position is in the centre of midfield. Not tall in stature, but strong. Hard as nails. A leader.
“I can’t say enough good things about him. I don’t know what Chelsea is going to do, as far as negotiating the deal.
“But I know Mauricio Pochettino and how well he works. I know how Tyler works. And they could be a match made in heaven. I would be delighted for Mauricio and Tyler.”
SHOULD ADAMS MAKE THE MOVE TO CHELSEA?
It will be very difficult to turn down one of the biggest clubs in the game and a side that will surely challenge for titles over the next couple of seasons – especially for a star like Adams.
However – there are certain teams in the Premier League that he could walk straight into – and there are some that he will struggle, CHELSEA are one of those clubs.
