Gakpo sent shock Arsenal transfer message – Mikel Arteta has been encouraged to try and sign Zaha and Gunners will be given the chance to sign Christopher Nkunku in Arsenal news of the day…

There has been some fresh reports which have claimed that Arsenal will be given the opportunity to try and secure a transfer deal for Christopher Nkunku

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 25 goals and registering 13 assists in all appearances in all competitions.

Nkunku managed seven goals and two assists in six appearances in the group stages of this season’s Champions League, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future.

Arsenal are believed to be interested in the Frenchman, who is capable of operating in a number of different positions in the final third of the field, as Mikel Arteta looks to add some more quality to his squad

The Spaniard has not been impressed with many of his star players this season, and it is widely believed that he will look to overhaul the squad in the transfer window.

Now, According to ESPN, Leipzig hope to open talks over tying Nkunku down to a new contract, but they would accept around €75m for their star player, in a boost for Arsenal

They do not want to lose one of their star players, but know that the market is hot and they will want big money for his services

If Arsenal show interest, if the board make a big enough offer and Nkunku says that he wants to leave, we are sure that RB will let him leave

Arsenal are a club that need to be revamped in the summer, Mikel Arteta needs the backing from the board to bring in players that will close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool

Will Nkunku do that? We do not know but he is a very gifted player that has a bright future in the game

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Paul Merson has urged the Gunners to sign Wilfred Zaha in the summer transfer window to replace Nicolas Pepe, who ha snot really impressed during his time at the Emirates

Zaha has really established himself as one of the best attacking wingers in the Premier League ever since he made the move back to Palace after a poor time of it at Manchester United

Arsenal were very much keen to try and secure a transfer deal for the winger a few summers ago, and many in the media honestly believed that the Gunners were going to pay his massive asking price to get a transfer deal done

However, the Gunners didn’t quite believe that he was worth the money that Crystal Palace were demanding and As a result, Arsenal snubbed Zaha and signed his international teammate Nicolas Pepe for a club-record £72 million that summer

Pepe has shown flashes of brilliance during his time at the club, but he has never fulfilled his potential, which has upset many fans and pundits alike.

Arsenal made a big mistake signing Nicolas Pepe over Wilfried Zaha in the summer of 2019, and amid all the rumours they could be tempted again this coming summer, Merson has encouraged the Gunners to make a move for the player

He wrote for the Daily Star: “Arsenal should go back in for Wilfried Zaha and try to sign him from Crystal Palace this summer.

“They wanted him before and missed out. But Zaha wanted to join them and he won’t stay at Palace forever.

“I think he would have made a difference to Arsenal. He’s better than Nicolas Pepe. He draws players towards him and makes things happen.”

Signing Pep over Zaha was a massive mistake by the Gunners, but at the end of the day, it no longer matters as the winger is now a fully fledged member of that Arsenal squad and Zaha is still at Palace

But if they are going to sign another winger in the summer, Zaha should be the man they make a move for

And Finally, Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move to sign Cody Gakpo in the summer transfer window as he looks set to depart Dutch giants PSV

There has been many reports in the media that Arsenal are very much interested in a deal for Gakpo, who is fast becoming one of the most sought after young players in Europe right now

The winger, who mainly operates on the left, has hit 16 goals in all competitions for the Eindhoven club this season, and has also provided 15 assists and his performances is attracting all sorts of interest

Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Arsenal are the frontrunners for a possible deal, but it seems that A move to the Emirates would be a step backwards, according to the latest reports emerging

A journalist believes Arsenal are a level below a club he should move to as FC Afkicken’s Bruce Tol believes he should join a side like Manchester City, In the latest episode of their podcast, he said: “I’d rather watch those absolute top clubs, you know? I’d rather watch Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester City, who, of course, were also linked with him. But then I think it’s quite difficult to go there.

“Arsenal are just a bit below the European top, and I think that category of club would be a really good fit. Maybe he’ll come into his own in the Premier League.”

Arsenal may not be winning the biggest trophies or playing in the Champions League football on a yearly basis, but they are still one of the biggest clubs in world football and a team that is surely a few signings away from challenging

But this claim is one more reason to throw the full support behind Mikel Arteta, the board must hurry back to the top where they belong.

Gakpo is a brilliant player and we believe that a move to the Emirates would actually be a step up from PSV

My question is this has Wilfred Zaha out played out scored Nicolas Pepe since Pepe arrived at Arsenal or has he out played Pepe in there national team? If all this statistics have been in favor of Zaha then we can think about replacing Pepe with Zaha but let’s not forget that Zaha have played in man Utd colour and it did not go well, some players perform when they are playing with small clubs this is all I have
