New boss told Special £50M star ‘really suits Graham Potter’ after Chelsea move

Chelsea star Conor Gallagher could ‘really could suit’ new boss Graham Potter, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay.

German coach Tuchel led Chelsea to the Champions League title in 2021 and the Club World Cup crown in 2022, but has paid the price for an indifferent start to the new campaign.

New owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have worked hard all summer to impose their authority at Chelsea, but this represents the boldest and most sweeping change yet

Chelsea sacked Thomas Tuchel in the wake of Tuesday’s chastening 1-0 Champions League defeat at Dinamo Zagreb – despite the reports that he begged to not get the chop

The Blues moved very quickly to replace the German – and have completed the hiring of Potter on a five-year deal after agreeing to pay his £16 million clause

But according to Journalist Barclay – midfielder Gallagher will be most excited about the appointment of new boss Potter – especially because the new boss was very keen to take the star to take him to Brighton.

Barclay told GIVEMESPORT: “He has played, even with that red card. There has obviously been a change of manager now and Graham Potter has come in.

“It’s up to him to win Potter over, as it’ll be for all of the Chelsea players. But, when you actually look at Gallagher’s attributes, I think he really could suit Graham Potter.”
