£50M star Chelsea keen on doing summer deal for told to make summer move!
Conor Gallagher has been urged to leave Chelsea this summer for Spanish giants Athletico Madrid.
Gallagher had a solid enough season for the Blues last year and played in 90 per cent of the matches for ex-boss Mauricio Pochettino – but there has been alot of speculation regarding his future.
It has been claimed on mumerous occasions that CHELSEA are very much open to the idea of letting Gallagher leave this summer window – with a move to Tottenham and West Ham mooted in recent months.
However – there has been speculation that Madrid are also keen on a transfer deal and are ready to pay big money to sign the England star – and now Gabby Agbonlahor has urged the £50 million star to make the move to La Liga.
“I think the first reason is financial fair play,” said Agbonlahor on why Chelsea would sell Gallagher. “They have been talking about Gallagher going for the last two windows, haven’t they? I think he is one they need to get off the books to sort their FFP out.
“But as well, the way Maresca plays, I don’t think Gallagher would suit his style of play. He likes to be on the ball, Maresca, and play out from the back.
“If there is one club that suits Conor Gallagher, then it’s Atletico Madrid. With what Simeone’s Atletico Madrid team have done over the years. I used to watch them in the big games against Real and Barcelona. They are physical. They want to get the ball back and press.
‘The style of football they play. A lot of tackling. A lot of, sort of what Gallagher has done when he has been here, giving a lot of fouls away. That’s the Atletico Madrid way. He suits how they play.
‘The transfer makes sense. If he isn’t going to play at CHELSEA, why keep him? They have just signed Dewsbury-Hall as well.”

If Chelsea seriously dont want Gallagher – Madrid would be a fantastic move for the man – it is as simple as that.
