Ex-Gunners star ‘excited’ about world class £51 million Arsenal signing

Former Gunners star William Gallas has opened up and revealed that he is very excited about the ARSENAL signing of Ruben Zubimendi this summer window, after the Premier League giants beat off a number of clubs to get a deal done.

The Euro 2024 winner joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad where he spent 15 years, coming through their famed academy to become a leading light in the middle of the park.

Zubimendi is expected to be thrown straight into the heart of Arsenal’s midfield, especially following the departures of Thomas Partey and Jorginho at the end of last month after the pair failed to agree a new contract with the Gunners.

Arsenal saw off competition from Real Madrid and Man City to sign Spain midfielder Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and Gallas is excited by the transfer: ‘The way he has played for Real Sociedad, and the job that he has done at the base of the midfield… that’s what Arsenal need,’ Gallas added.

‘It’s exactly what Arsenal need To have that player just in front of the defence, allowing the other midfielders who do maybe half defensive and half attacking duties to really focus on creating goals for Arsenal.

‘The fact that Liverpool and Real Madrid were also both very interested in Zubimendi shows you a lot. It shows you how highly regarded his skills are.’

Zubimendi is ready for this move, he is ready to test himself at one of the biggest clubs in world football and a side that will be competing for all the big titles next season, it is a great move from ARSENAL to make.

He suits the style of Mikel Arteta, he is already proven at the top level, he should have no problem adapting to the Premier League.
