West Ham get boost to try and sign Traore – Hammers tipped to sign new attacker- Cornet delighted with move in West Ham news of the day –

Wolves boss Bruno Lage has told the likes of West Ham winger Adama Traore will only be sold if the price is right.

Traore is one of the most powerful and dynamic players in the Premier League and a player that all the big clubs have looked at over the past few seasons

Barcelona took the winger on loan in January, and he notched 17 outings for the La Liga club – but was unable to make the impact at the club that he ha hoped for and even though Barca had the option to make the move permanent – they opted not to trigger it.

But now it seems that the likes of Wolves will be able to secure the services of Traore for an absolute bargain this transfer window as it has been claimed that Wolves are open to letting him leave

So even though Lage insists the Spaniard can still play a key role for his side. – he has admitted that he will get sold for the right price – he told Sky Sports: “I want to keep these players because they are special players, and they give me different solutions.

“With five subs, everyone needs to feel important and involved because you’re going to have more space for everyone.

“But in the end, we need to understand there is a price for every player and if the price comes in and is good for the player and good for the club, then it’s ok, we need to accept.

“But at the moment they are our players and for them to go, the other teams need to pay the money we think we need to buy two players because they are very important.”

Pace – power – skill – Traore has all the attributes to be a world class winger – but his final delivery is simply not good enough to play at the highest level and that is why Barcelona did not want to keep hold

However – at a rising club like West Ham – he could be a very good option to have down that left – wing – he really is unstoppable when he is on top of his game

West Ham told to sign attacker –

West Ham need to sign an upgrade om their attack this summer window – according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

West Ham have been doing alot of transfer business this summer as David Moyes seek to take the club to that next level

David Moyes has managed to complete the signings of five new players – and fans are getting very excited that the club can push on and challenge for more than a top six spot this coming season

West Ham splashed the cash to sign Gianluca Scamacca earlier in the transfer window – but if they wish to provide him with goals this season – they will need to get an upgrade for Said Benrahma – the club have been told

Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “For me, when I look at them I look at [Jarrod] Bowen and [Michail] Antonio as their main attacking threats.

“[Manuel] Lanzini, [Pablo] Fornals and Benrahma, are, for me, OK players but they are not going to take West Ham to the next step.

“It depends on where West Ham want to be. Declan Rice is not going to be there forever.

“I’m looking at them and thinking ‘They’re an OK side, top eight would be a good season for them because I don’t think they are getting anywhere near the top four again’.

“That ship has sailed, teams have gone past them now. I think it’s going to be a reality check for West Ham fans.

“You’ve had your chance at top four, missed out and are now in the Europa Conference League which may take a lot out of the side with the games being Thursday-Sunday.

“Next season, West Ham will finish between eighth and 10th, to be honest.”

Cornet delighted with move –

West Ham have signed Ivory Coast winger Maxwel Cornet from Burnley and he is delighted with the move to the club

West Ham have been doing alot of transfer business this summer as David Moyes seek to take the club to that next level – and Cornet becomes West Ham’s fifth signing of the summer after striker Gianluca Scamacca, defender Nayef Aguerd, midfielder Flynn Downes, and goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

The 25-year-old arrived at Turf Moor from Lyon last August for £12.85m. He was Burnley’s top scorer last season with nine goals in 28 appearances as the Clarets were relegated from the Premier League.

Cornet spent seven and a half seasons at Lyon, playing 252 games and scoring 51 goals for the Ligue 1 club – but he was keen to stay in the Premier League and West Ham have signed him on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee after paying his £17.5m release clause.

Cornet, who can play as a left-winger, wing-back or full-back, has a further one-year option on his contract – but he has admitted that he is delighted to have signed with the Hammers this summer

“It’s a new step for me to join this big club and I’m really happy to be here, to be part of the project for the club. I’m just excited to start,” said Cornet, who has scored six goals in 29 appearances for Ivory Coast.

“Everyone knows the level here in the Premier League is very high and I want to play here for that, so I’m really happy to be here for the next stage in my career.”
