Brilliant £100k-a-week Spaniard has made decision about joining Liverpool

Gavi to leave Barca?

Barcelona midfielder Gavi is ‘set to snub’ Liverpool to remain at Barcelona – it has been claimed in the media

Gavi has made five appearances across all competitions, three of which have been starts -as he looks to establish himself at the Spanish giants

However – Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a massive fan of the player and is plotting to make a move next summer – or even in January if he picks up any more injuries over the next few months

He has entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Nou Camp and there is no deal close yet – although the Spaniards have admitted that there is a contract proposal on the table for the Spaniards

It had been claimed that Liverpool would try and make a move for the player in the January window – or when he is out of contract at the end of the season

A report from 90min this week claims representatives of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all held meetings in recent weeks to sound out the possibility of signing him.

However, journalist Fabrizio Romano says the youngster is ‘ready’ to commit his future to the La Liga giants and a new deal is only a matter of time.

Amidst all the speculation -Kevin Campbell has come out and told Jurgen Klopp that Gavi would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool

When asked by Football Insider – Campbell said: “Gavi is a really good young player.

“He is technically gifted and knows where the back of the net is. If he comes onto the market there will be quite a few clubs coveting him.

‘He is a brilliant player and is one who would definitely improve that Liverpool team. He could be at the club for five to 10 years as well.

“I would expect Liverpool to be knocking on the door if he was to become available.”

The longer Gavi does not sign a new deal at Barcelona – the more chance of Liverpool getting a deal done. But considering he is a big part of the plans under Xavi – we cannot see him moving anytime soon
