Here is a roundup of the top Man United news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Mason Greenwood has dropped the clearest hint that he is set to leave Man United. According to reports, the striker’s £2m mansion is now up for rent.

Greenwood impressed during his loan spell in Spain, scoring ten times and providing five assists in for the Spanish side as he looked to reignite his career.

He has not played for Manchester United since his arrest in January 2022 for attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assaultAll charges were dropped in February last year.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has not ruled out the possibility of Greenwood returning to the club but there has been alot of rumours about where he could end up once his loan deal is finished with Getafe.

But not he has dropped the biggest hint that he will be leaving the club in the coming transfer window – as the six-bedroom pad is full-furnished and is available for £14,000 per month. Greenwood stayed in the property during his time at Man United before a loan move to Getafe.

Should he move on, a number of clubs are interested in sealing a deal for his services. Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are chasing him, while Borussia Dortmund recently joined the race for the 22-year-old’s signature.

Greenwood is a player “reborn” and would be a shrewd addition for Juventus if they can do a deal with Manchester United, Fabio Capello recently claimed.

He recently told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I’ve heard about Greenwood. A Manchester United talent who has been affected by personal issues, but seems reborn at Getafe.

‘There are no doubts about his qualities. [Riccardo] Calafiori looks interesting as well, but I am accustomed to seeing a Juventus that keeps their best players. I would not sell Bremer, [Federico] Chiesa or [Dusan] Vlahovic. I would only add quality players. I really like Bologna’s [Lewis] Ferguson and his injury was a shame.”

“Juventus will need at least four quality signings to rival Inter in the title race next season. The Nerazzurri have 20 points more than the Bianconeri, and they have already made progress by signing Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski.

‘Juventus need quality in the middle to get closer to Inter. Juventus would need one of [Simone] Inzaghi’s midfielders. There is a lot of noise around [Teun] Koopmeiners and he’d be a good reinforcement, but he would not be enough, especially if [Adrien] Rabiot leaves.

‘From the outside, I have the feeling that before deciding whether to extend, the Frenchman wants to understand whether Juventus want to build a team to win. Juventus already have a great talent.

‘I like [Kenan] Yildiz, he has proved to have the personality required in a top club.”

TUCHEL TIPPED FOR MOVE –

German boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly the favourite to replace Erik Ten Hag at Man United in the summer.

The Man United team are currently preparing to face Manchester rivals Man City in the FA Cup at the weekend in hope that they can finish off the season in great fashion after a disappointing Premier League seasons.

Alot of poor performances from the Red Devils saw the club finish well down the League and many have been tipping Erik Ten Hag to get the sack after the Fa Cup final – even if the Dutchman brings home the trophy.

That has led to alot of speculation about who could replace Ten Hag in the summer – with so many big names linked – but it is claimed that Tuchel is the man that the Red Devils wants.

Reports on the Sun says that Manchester United Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sir Dave Brailsford, chief executive Jean Claude-Blanc, and Jason Wilcox, the technical director are the ones who are taking charge of the hunt for the potential new head coach and they have landed on the former Bayern Munich boss as they believe he has the ‘temperament to handle seasoned players.

Tuchel just guided Bayern Munich to the Champions League Semi-Finals – but is now the manager that failed to win the Bundesliga title for the first time in 12 seasons.

Tuchel is a top coach – there is no doubt about that – only an amazing season by Bayer Leverkusen stopped him from winning that Bundesliga title. So if United do decide to bring him to the club it will be a very good option.

As we said – he is a world class coach that has won countless trophies and he would certainly be an upgrade on Ten Hag.

ZIRKZEE TRANSFER MESSAGE SENT –

Former Netherlands boss Frank de Boer could have handed Manchester United a huge blow in their hopes of signing Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee.

Manchester United spent some serious money on Rasmus Hojlund last summer in hope that he could bang in the goals on a weekly basis, but despite netting sixteen goals for the Red Devils, he has struggled at times with injuries.

That has led to many reports in the media that Man United are open to the idea of adding another striker to the attack over the summer window to help get the best out of Hojlund, and Zirkzee is a man that are keen on.

Zirkzee has had a brilliant season with Bologna and is regarded as one of the best young forwards in the Italian League – with AC Milan and Arsenal just two clubs that are also chasing his services in the summer window.

But despite the reports linking him with a move to United – De Boer has suggested that the striker should pen a deal with Premier League rivals Arsenal instead.

“I have great respect for Arsenal, they have patience, for example they had it with [Mikel] Arteta who didn’t start well,” ex-Inter Milan boss De Boer told Calciomercato (via Metro). “In some clubs, if it happens like this you are already out.

“And he has played very well in the last two years, Inter also play well. If I have to say someone I prefer Arsenal because they have the patience to wait for him and give him confidence.”

This Manchester United side needs to add some proven, top-level players to the side that can make a real impact on the side – Zirkzee is not that.

If They believe that Hojlund is the future – they dont need to sign a striker – they need to sign players that can feed the man and create chances for him – so improving that midfield and defence should be the priority for the club.
