Martin Odegaard is heading to Arsenal, and we are showing fans just why the club are so keen.
Mikel Arteta knows that he is lacking creativity in the middle of that pitch and has been looking for the right player to come in and offer the side something different, which Odegaard will manage to achieve.
It was only a few days ago that news broke that he wanted to leave Madrid, and after a few days of talks, Arsenal managed to agree a £2.5 million deal to bring the talented man to the club, at least until the end of the season.
And just in case many of you fans have not seen the lad play, we have picked a video below that will show you just some of the quality that he has in that young head of his, COURTESY OF SPORTS MOMENTS
He may not be the biggest player to arrive at the club over the last few seasons, but he is certainly a player with alot of potential
Reports have suggested that Thomas Tuchel is now flying to Chelsea after the Blues sacked Frank Lampard.
Despite the fact that he had over £200 million in the transfer window to bring in new players, Chelsea have fallen well behind Manchester City and Manchester United in the chase to win that Premier League title.
Lampard took the side on a 17-game unbeaten run but away defeats to Everton, Wolves, Arsenal and Leicester and a 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City have cost him his job, and now the Blues are looking to bring in a new boss.
And it seems that Chelsea fans will be welcoming former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel in the next couple of days, with reports suggesting that he is now flying over to London to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel won the DFB-Pokal in 2017 with Dortmund before a brief but trophy-laden spell in Paris which saw him win two Ligue 1 titles and a French Cup, as well as reaching the final of last season’s Champions League, which they lost to Bayern Munich.
Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho with Borussia Dortmund ‘relying’ on his sale.
It is no secret that Sancho is the number one transfer target for Man Utd and they tried to get a transfer deal over the line in the summer, but were not prepared to pay that massive asking price that Borussia Dortmund have placed on the head of Sancho
Sancho, 20, stayed at Dortmund and despite making a slow start to the season he’s rediscovering the form that attracted him to Man United in the first place, and there has been some reports in the media that United will renew their interest at the end of the season.
A report by Sport1 claims that Dortmund are ‘relying’ on the sale of Sancho to balance their books, and they are more than open to letting the player leave should they receive the offer that they are looking for.
German football expert Raphael Honigstein recently claimed he doesn’t expect anything to happen in the current transfer window but expect the Sancho negotiations to start again in the spring time.
Honigstein told Sky Sports: “Everybody in Dortmund knows nothing will happen in January, the player is not agitating for a move, there’s a very clear agreement that transfers of that magnitude at Dortmund will only happen in the summer.
“So no one’s stopping United, if they went out, and felt really confident, to say, ‘let’s do this deal now, let’s make sure we get in now’. And maybe then announce it at the end of January. That’s inherently possible.
“We just haven’t seen or heard anything to suggest that they are indeed ready and willing to come back to that negotiation at the moment. I think everyone at Dortmund is under no illusions that the player wants to leave.
“But they think that the offers and the real negotiations will start closer to towards spring when clubs are perhaps in a better position to understand how much money they’ll have available for their transfer window in the summer.”
HERE WE GO AGAIN GUYS!
Liverpool target and PSG star Kylian Mbappe says he has not yet come to a decision on his future.
Mbappe’s contract with his hometown club runs until the summer of 2022. Real Madrid, Man Utd and Liverpool have been the clubs most strongly linked with signing him in the next couple of transfer windows.
However, there remain questions as to whether any club could afford to prise him away from PSG – unless he lets his contract run down, as he would cost in excess of £200 million and would demand wages of around £500,000-a-week
But amid all the speculation about his future at the club, he had opened up and revealed that he had not made a decision on his future just yet, which will alert the clubs that are seeking to try and get a deal done: “I’ve had this question before,” Mbappe told Telefoot after scoring twice in a 4-0 win over Montpellier on Friday night.
“We are discussing with the club to find a project. I am thinking about it, because if I sign, it will be in order to invest myself in the long term.
“I am very happy here. The supporters and the club have always helped me. I’m going to think about what I want to do in the next few years, where I want to be.
“I am reflecting on it, not trying to buy time or anything like that. If I sign, I will stay, so I have to think about it.”
Mauricio Pochettino was asked about Mbappe’s comments immediately afterwards, and seemed encouraged by what the forward had to say.
Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Tottenham are not looking to sign a new striker this transfer window.
Despite having the likes of Harry Kane, Carlos Vinicius and Heung Min-Son all in his attack, there has been some reports in the media which have claimed that Spurs Boss Jose Mourinho is eyeing up another striker this month.
And Saints superstar Dany Ings has been a player that the club have been linked with over the past few months, after news broke that he has yet to agree a new contract to stay with the club, despite being the main man.
However, Solhekol has come out and suggested that Mourinho is not looking to bolster his attack this window, he told Sky Sports: “I’m not sure Spurs are searching for a striker. I think it’s more of a case of Danny Ings is in talks with Southampton about extending his contract – a very good offer has been made to him – and there have been suggestions that he is going to wait and see if other options are available.
“One of those options could be Spurs. Jose Mourinho was asked about Ings today and as you would expect, he said he wouldn’t talk about players who are currently at other clubs.
But he also said: “We’re not a team that needs a third striker at the moment. The third striker is Sonny [Heung-Min Son] and we have the best.” He also went on to say they are happy with Carlos Vinicius, who they signed in the last window as a back-up for Harry Kane.”
If Spurs are to sign a new player this transfer window, a new defender or creative midfielder should be high up on the shopping list
