Thank you! Legend Giggs has Manchester United message for boss Solskjaer
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for bringing back the positive attitude to Old Trafford.
Despite leading the club to a Europa League title in his first season and second placed finish in the premier League last season, Jose Mourinho got the sack last week after guiding United to one of the worst starts in their history.
He seemingly lost the dressing room months ago as the big players simply stopped working at 100 per cent for him, and the United hierarchy took the decision to get rid before the January window.
And Solskjaer, who saw the Red Devils beat Huddersfield 3-1 on Boxing Day at Old Trafford in his second game as boss, has brought back the attacking, energetic and positive vibe back to the club.
And Giggs believes his former team-mate has got the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford playing again.
‘It was Ole’s first home game, and the positivity that came from Cardiff game, the performance and result and I think everyone was looking forward to the game,’ Giggs told MUTV.
‘The big players are turning up, (Paul) Pogba with the goals, David (De Gea) with a great save and Marcus (Rashford) getting better and better each game.
‘There’s a real positivity around the place and we need that to carry on now going into the Bournemouth game.’
Can Solskjaer keep the good vibes flowing?
Wins mean everything and if United can keep picking up the three points and playing the kind of football they have been, then United will once again be in the hunt for a Champions League spot and some silverware.
United are far too big to be playing for the minor positions in the Premier League, and the players need to step up to help their new boss get the club back to the very top.
