Ex-Arsenal star Giroud announces interest in completing Chelsea deal!
There has been some reports which have revealed Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud would be open to moving to MLS at the end of his contract next summer.
Since his move from Arsenal to Chelsea, Giroud has become a real fans favourite at Stamford Bridge and has also been a integral part in the Chelsea side over the past few seasons, despite his lack of goals for the club.
In May, his Blues contract was extended till the end of this season, however, he is playing second string to Tammy Abraham up front this season with the youngster starting and scoring in the last two league games, and there has been speculation in the media that Chelsea will look to add another striker to the side next summer.
The likes of Mauro Icardi, Harry Kane and even Robert Lewandowski have been linked with moves to the club at the end of the season, when Chelsea will reportedly give boss Frank Lampard around £200 million to spend on new players.
The French striker does not yet know if this will be his last season with Chelsea, but he is certainly open to a switch to the States when his time in England comes to an end.
“MLS, for my family, my children who speak English, it is interesting,” Giroud said.Giroud said.Giroud said.

“In a year? Two years? I don’t know when. But of course, I will be opened to a new challenge.
“It is not only MLS which could interest me.”
Giroud has been a very good servant for Chelsea over the seasons and he should have been scoring more than the 19-goals he has been for the club, but the end of the season should be the perfect time for him to leave, as his time at Chelsea is almost over.
Chelsea need to think to the future and in the long-term, he will not be part of the side. So it will be interesting to see just where he ends up if he moves to the MLS at the end of the season.
