Arsenal fans told if big signing will make Gunners Premier League Champions

Pundit Shay Given has stressed that Arsenal’s signing of Declan Rice will not make them Premier League champions.

Rice was the talk of the transfer window at the beginning of the summer – as nobody could predict who he would go too and how much money West Ham would accept.

However – despite the interest from the likes of Man City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich, it was ARSENAL that Declan Rice made the move too in hope that he could help the Gunners win some silverware.

And in his first few weeks as a Gunners – he has done that after Arsenal shocked Man City in the Community Shield and picked up another trophy to add to that Gunners cabinet.

But despite all the hype surrounding the signing of Declan Rice for Arsenal – Given has claimed that Rice will not make them Premier League champions.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Speaking on Premier League Productions, he said: “He’s their star player. He’s maybe come in to be the player to make the difference in them winning the league.

“It’s a big price tag. But he didn’t do anything wrong (against Forest). He’s very comfortable. We have known him playing in the Premier League for a good few years now.

“Is he the difference to get them the hands on the title? I just don’t know if Arsenal are going to be able to challenge Man City. I really don’t.

“Even with the quality Declan Rice has. He breaks things up well. He is also a leader in the pack. A talker in a young team. I think he had a really good game.

“I still don’t think he is the missing piece to win the title, I really don’t.”
