Midfielder reveals Gunners desire – issues ‘COME-AND-GET-ME PLEA’ to Arsenal
Aleksandr Golovin has revealed he would be open to joining Arsenal as he looks to make that step up from his current club Monaco in the coming transfer windows.
Arsenal have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks, so many players have been linked with a move to the Emirates, so many players have been linked with a move away from the club and there has even been rumours about the future of Mikel Arteta.
However – it seems that the style of play at Arsenal right now – all the excitement and quality that Arteta has is attracting interest from players that have not even been linked with a move to North London – stars like Monaco midfielder Golovin.
The 28-year-old has two years left on his contract with Monaco but has opened the door to a move to the Gunners should they come calling after revealing that he would be very open to the idea of leaving France for the Premier League: He said: “I like where I am now, even more than in previous years.
“We have the strongest [Monaco] team of all time, the coach is also the most successful. So, right now, I’m not thinking about switching.
“But if you move, then only to top clubs. PSG, Manchester City, Real Madrid.
“I would also say ARSENAL, because I have always had sympathy for this club.”
Golovin scored six goals and added six assists for Monaco in the French top flight last season.

If Arteta wants to add some depth to the side – if he wants players to come in and be ok with sitting on the bench every week and waiting for their chance – Golovin could be a decent signing for the club.
He had an ok season with Monaco last year and although he is nowhere near the quality of that starting ARSENAL side – he could be a good squad member.
