Italian reveals what he has heard about midfielder Liverpool are keen to sign!
Fabrizio Romano has revealed what he’s heard about Sporting Lisbon midfielder and Liverpool target Pedro Goncalves
LIVERPOOL have had a busier transfer window than many people expected, with a number of stars departing the club over the last few months, and a number of players making their ways to Anfield.
Wataru Endo, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mc Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai all got signed by Klopp over the summer window, and all have pretty much had an immediate impact on the squad.
However – it is no secret that Liverpool missed out on a number of transfer targets that Klopp really wanted to sign, as Jude Bellingham joined Real Madrid and Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia both joined Chelsea.
Speaking to CaughtOffisde, Romano said: “Sporting always wanted to keep Pedro so it was never a negotiation last summer.
“For sure he’s going to be one to watch in the next years, but at the moment people close to him guarantee there’s nothing decided or close.”
So far, the Goncalves has made 133 appearances for the Portuguese giants, scoring 59 goals and registering 34 assists in that time.
Look, not getting Jude Bellingham was a massive loss for LIVERPOOL, he has really stepped up another level at Real Madrid and looks like a man that can become one of the games greatest players.
However – the signings that have been signed are very impressive and it will be interesting to see if L Liverpool make a move for Goncalves in the January transfer window.
