Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer news from IcFootballnews.com

Fresh reports have again claimed Chelsea target Marco Asensio is unhappy at Real Madrid and is eyeing up a January move away.

The young Spaniard is regarded as one of the finest talents in world football and is also wanted by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, as he seeks an alternative to Lyon ace Nabil Fekir.

He was just limited to 28 appearances for the Spaniards last season and speculation about his future has been intensifying over the last few weeks, as the Spaniards have failed to hand him the kind of game time he needs and deserves to develop.

And according to the TMW website, he has become unhappy and frustrated at Madrid and is eying up a possible move away from the bernabeu, with some reports suggesting Madrid are willing to finally cash in on the Spaniard as they look to revamp the squad over the course of the coming transfer windows, as they seek to add the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Eden Hazard to thei squads.

With all the speculation surrounding the futures of Hazard, Willian and Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea are constantly in the market for a talented player like Asesnsio to come in and help fill the void if one of the trio does decide to depart the club at the end of the season. (READ MORE)
Reports in the media have claimed Ajax will demand a fee around the £60 million mark for rising talent and Chelsea target Matthijs De Ligt.

De Ligt is one of the most sought after youngsters in world football and is already starting to establish himself as one of the best ball-playing centre-halves in Europe with the Dutch side, despite the fact he is only 19-years of age.

He has already played 60 times in Holland’s top flight and his performances have caught the attentions of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, who is looking to improve the back-line in the coming transfer windows, as there is some concern over the qualities of David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and the unhappy Andreas Christensen, who could even leave the club with his game time very limited.

But according to reports on the Mundo Deportivo website, Ajax are no fools and have no intention of letting the talented Dutchman leave for anything less than £60 million, believing he has the qualities to develop into the best central defender in Europe.

The news comes just a few weeks after his National boss Ronald Koeman announced that De Ligt would leave the Dutch Champions sooner rather than later, with the former Everton and Southampton boss telling the TalkSport website: “It is obvious a player of the level of Matthijs will move into a higher league soon.

“I have talked about him a lot and the truth is he should be playing at a much higher level, he has the ability to make it to the very top in football.

“He made his debut in the Champions League group stage and then his next game was on a plastic pitch away against Excelsior, that is not something that is sustainable.

“Besides, the pace of the Eredivisie is not as high.” (READ MORE)

Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic has admitted that he is flattered by interest from the his former manager and Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, but he’s happy in Italy.

The Serbian’s form has sparked talk of a reunion with his old manager, Sarri, at Chelsea in the January transfer window as speculation continues to grow that the Italian boss is not happy with David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger, and knows he needs to add a top-class centre-half to the squad.

And Sarri was reportedly eyeing up a whopping £60 million deal for Maksimovic in case he failed to acquire the services of Milan Skriniar, Toby Alderweireld or Daniele Rugani.

However, the defender has announced he has no desire to leave Napoli in the near future, but has thanked the Chelsea boss for showing a keen interest in getting a deal done.

“I also want to thank Sarri, he was very attentive,” Maksimovic told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli when asked about his upturn in form.

“Could I join him at Chelsea? I’m fine here! I actually don’t have anything bad to say about him, but I’m happy here, as are my family. I want to show my value.”(READ MORE)
