Graham Potter has revealed he has told £200k-a-week star he is wanted at Chelsea

Graham Potter has opened up and admitted that he has told Mason Mount that he is part of the plans at CHELSEA.
Mount has been a massive player for Chelsea over the past few bosses and has been constantly made the clubs player of the season – but this year he has barefly featured for Graham Potter.
He has not been as effective – he has not been able to make the impact that Potter would have liked and has found himself on the bench more often than not – and with his contract running down – there has been alot of speculation regarding his future.
Chelsea simply do not want to pay the midfielder the kind of wages that he is reportedly demanding – and that has led to alot of speculation in the media that he is a player that Jurgen Klopp would like to sign at the end of the season.
In an interview with Football.London – Potter has revealed that he has told Mount that he would like him to stay at Stamford Bridge – he said: “Ultimately it is between the club and Mason. I have spoken to him numerous times about his situation, football and life generally. My feelings for Mason are clear.

“He is a fantastic person firstly but sometimes these things happen. They are just complicated and it is best that I speak little about it, let them get on with it in deciding what is right for both parties.”
He was then asked if he has told Mount he if he wants him to stay – he added: “Yes, but I am not naive. I know it is an important time for him and an important contract. These things have to be right for him and his family. It’s important he makes a decision on that basis.”

We can see why CHELSEA do not want to pay Mount the kind of wages that he reportedly wants – he hasn’t deserved it from his performances this season.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out – as he is a player that brings alot to the side when he is on top of his game.
