Boss issues transfer message to striker as Arsenal eye up £60 million deal

Pep Guardiola has sent a firm message to the likes of Arsenal and Julian Alvarez about his immediate future at Manchester City.

ARSENAL have challenged for the Premier League over the last two seasons and look like the side that could end the winning streak of Manchester City – but many believe that the club needs a new striker to really win that title.

Alvarez has scored 36 goals in 103 appearances for Manchester City since joining them from boyhood club River Plate in 2022, but he has opened the door to a potential move away from the club after revealing that he is no happy with the game time that he gets.

Mikel Arteta worked at Man City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant and has twice raided his former club since joining Arsenal, bringing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Emirates Stadium, and Alvarez is a player that he reportedly admires

But Guardiola has once again reiterated that Alvarez is a Man City player and that he would like to see the forward staying at the club: ‘I don’t have anything to say. He will come back. I count on him, but he said in the news that decisions will be made all together.

‘Now he has to rest and when he feels ready to come back he will come back. I’m sure when he comes back I’ll hug and congratulate him for the Copa America, for the Olympics and we will start to work together

‘This is the reality. What happens in the meantime, I have a thousand million things to think about the team.’

Guardiola does not want to sell Alvarez – and we dont believe he will allow the striker to join Arsenal knowing just how much he would improve that ARSENAL attack.

This wont happen – so if he does leave Man City – it will not be for Arsenal
