Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea fc news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed –

Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan insists he is still intent on joining Chelsea

Zakharyan is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in world football and Chelsea were willing to pay his €15m (£12.6m) release clause, however, the deal collapsed due to FIFA and UEFA restrictions on signing Russian players.

However – Chelsea are still keeping a close eye on the talented young man and there is still alot of speculation that a move in the January window could happen – although it would still be tough for Chelsea to secure a deal for the lad.

Now – amid all the speculation – he has come out and announced that he wants to Chelsea join – it is where he wants to be

‘My agents and my club have told me that a request has come from Chelsea. I have directly said my position is that I want to join Chelsea,’ Zakharyan told Russia’s Comment Show.

‘I know that there is a good competition in my position with Mount, Havertz, Gallagher, so I don’t mind going on loan to adapt to the European league.

‘I was stressed because I wanted this transfer.

‘Right now I have Chelsea and I want to go to Chelsea. I know that other clubs are interested in me, I am proud of that but I want to go to Chelsea.’

Zakharyan also dismissed suggestions that he should switch nationality from Russian to Armenian in order to finalise his move to Chelsea.

‘I don’t want to change nationality to transfer to Chelsea, we have to find another way,’ the midfielder said.

‘I was proud to start for Russia and Karpin put his faith in me straight away by starting me against Croatia.’

Chelsea make Guimaraes offer –

It has been claimed that Chelsea have now made an enquiry to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes

Since making a real name for himself over in the French League – Newcastle managed to beat off a number of top clubs in order to complete a deal for the Brazilian star.

Adn since his move to the Premier League he has become one of the most eye-catching midfielders to watch in the English game – and Newcastle fans have started to see alot of rumours about their star man

Chelsea and Real Madrid are just two clubs that have been linked with a move for the man over the past few days and it is believed that they may both make moves to try and get a deal done in the next transfer window

According to the Evening Standard Chelsea have now contacted Newcastle about a possible deal for the gifted midfielder

Amidst all the speculation Danny Murphy has urged the Saudi-backed club to get the midfielder all signed up, telling talkSPORT: ‘Bruno Guimaraes, what a player. Honestly. Nail him down [to a new contract].

‘He’s got everything. He’s really, really tenacious, he’s clever on the ball in brave areas, he can see a pass and he can score.

‘The only thing with him when you look at how you’re going to set up is whether you play him in the deeper role to get you playing, or do you let him have more licence because he can score a goal.

‘It’s a great dilemma to have, but he has been their number one signing.

‘There have been other good performances and good signings, but he has been their main man.’
