Chambers delighted with transfer move, Arsenal to sign Turner claims manager and Gunners told £40 million for Neves in Arsenal roundup…

Wolves have now slapped a price-tag of £40m on the head of Arsenal linked Ruben Neves

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta NEEDS to strengthen his Arsenal squad over the course of the transfer window as a number of injuries and Covid-19 outbreaks have devastated his Gunners squad.

That has led to many reports that he will look to improve the squad and add another defender, midfielder and striker to the attack in order to keep in that chase to get back inside the top sour spots

The Gunners were reportedly in talks with Arthur Melo’s agent and were keen to sign the 25-year-old on loan before the January transfer window closes, but he has performed a u-turn and will now not leave Juventus this month

That led to reports in the media that Arsenal have contacted Wolves about a possible transfer deal for Neves, and have even opened talks about a possible January transfer deal.

Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has attracted a lot of interest since he helped his side gain promotion to the Premier League, and it was thought that he would not be sold at any price.

Now, according to Sun Sport, Wolves have now slapped a price-tag of £40m on the 24-year-old, a fee that Arsenal are more than prepared to pay

Guys if the reports are true and Arsenal are in talks to sign one of the most gifted players in the Premier League, them he would be a quality signing for the club

Neves is far too good to be playing for Wolves and a move to a club like Arsenal may mean that he develops into an even better player, much like Diogo Jota has done at Liverpool

Arsenal need to make sure that they get this transfer deal done

USA manager Gregg Berhalter has all but confirmed that MLS goalkeeper of the year Matt Turner will be heading to Arsenal.

Bernd Leno is understandably keen on playing more football after being usurped as Arsenal’s No 1 by Aaron Ramsdale, and that has led to many reports in the media which have suggested that he could leave the club this transfer window

And if the German was to leave, Turner appears to be their top target to replace him, with reports suggesting that the Gunners board have already made an offer to bring him to the Premier League

The American was once an undrafted college footballer, but the USA no.1 has reportedly agreed terms over a summer move to Arsenal, signalling the end for Bernd Leno.

Berhalter said after the USA beat El Salvador 1-0 in their World Cup qualifier on Thursday: “[Turner] Went to Fairfield University, was undrafted out of college, now he’s playing with the national team and he’s headed to Arsenal.

“It’s just an amazing story and it’s all down to him, his work ethic, his belief in himself and his never give up attitude.

“It’s a great story and Matt is a great guy, a great teammate and we’re lucky to have him.

“Tonight was an example of where he did everything that he had to do. He was calm in all situations. Wasn’t tested much but was there when we needed him and he looked like a player that’s going to Arsenal, for sure.”

Ramsdale is a brilliant stopper that is easily the number one at the Emirates, so the Gunners do not need to splash alot of cash and bring in somebody that could upset the dynamics at the Emirates

Turner will have alot to prove at the club, but he has been impressing and the Gunners clearly see something in him which will make them believe he is the ideal man to replace Leno if he leaves the club

This will be a massive step up though, and surely a dream move for the man

Callum Chambers has admitted his delight at signing for Aston Villa after deciding to leave Arsenal

Since the arrival of Steven Gerrard, Aston Villa have been showing some real ambition in the transfer window and have done a number of deals that have impressed many pundits

Philippe Coutinho, Lucas Digne and Robin Olsen have all been players that Gerrard has managed to bring to the club and now, he has managed to convince Chambers to make the move to the Villians

Chambers told Aston Villa’s club website: “It’s a massive club and they’re in a great moment at this moment in time.

“It’s a very exciting place to be and everyone can see that from the outside. Things are happening here and it’s definitely moving in the right direction.

“For me, it was a no-brainer to join a great club. It was the right thing for me to do. It’s a great club, it’s a massive club. I’ve played at Villa Park a few times and it’s great stadium with a great set of fans.

“The manager did very well at Rangers. He’s a young, exciting manager and I can’t wait to work with him.

“It’s a great stage to be joining the club at. The club’s building momentum and it’s an exciting time to be here. You can really feel that being in and around the building. You can feel the energy around the place.

“I feel like I’ve joined at a great time and I can’t wait to get started and give it my all.”
