Gunners told to let Chelsea make move to sign £65 million star this January

Pundit and former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher has advised ARSENAL to give CHELSEA and other Premier League rivals a free run at £65m transfer target and Wolves star Matheus Cunha this transfer window.

Cunha has been in brilliant form this season for Wolves and there has been alot of speculation that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in a move with only a few days left in the transfer window.

the Gunners know that they need to improve that attack for the remainder of the season as Bukayo Saka is still out and Gabriel Jesus will be out for the rest of the season, leaving Kai Havertz as the main man at the Emirates.

However – despite the reports suggesting that Arsenal are keen to sign up the Brazilian, Carragher has opened up and claimed that the Gunners should allow the other clubs to make a move for Cunha.

Asked if he would sign Cunha if he was in charge at the Emirates Stadium, Carragher told Sky Sports: ‘He’s a good player but I wouldn’t be paying £65m for him. I’m not sure where he would play for Arsenal.’

Cunha has had a solid season for Wolves and looks like a player that could make that move to one of the big clubs, but one good season does not mean that he is worth £65 million, and good enough for a move to ARSENAL right now.

Even if he joined CHELSEA and Liverpool, he would be a bench warmer and a player that plays alot less than what he is now at Wolves, this move would only be worth it if he was guaranteed to play every week.

We dont know if Cunha will leave Wolves this transfer window, but one thing is for certain, he would only be signed by the top clubs as cover.
