Mbuyamba green light, Agent reveals Corona talks, £97 million for Martinez, Haaland Premier League bound in Chelsea roundup…
Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has told the likes of Chelsea the only way they can sign Lautaro Martinez this summer is via his £97m (€111m) release clause.
Despite the Coronavirus putting a hold to the Premier League season and despite the fact that the transfer window is still months away, there has been alot of speculation in the media about possible arrivals to Stamford Bridge, with a striker on the agenda.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard is keen to improve this side with some big time signings, and reports in the media have suggested he will indeed get the £200 million it will take to sign some top-class, big-time names players in the summer, with a striker on the list
Lautaro Martinez is a name that has been on the lips of many Chelsea fans this season, as the powerful striker has impressed over in Serie A with Inter and is surely destined for a move away from the Italian Leagues.
Barcelona are reportedly leading the chase to sign the striker in the summer, as he is the Spaniards top transfer target and they are seeking to sell a number of players to try and finance a transfer deal.
However, if they are unable or unwilling to meet the asking price of Martinez, then Chelsea could swoop in and steal him from under the noses of Barcelona.
But he will not come cheap, as reports on the Sky Sports website has claimed that Inter will not lower their valuation of the man because of the coronavirus outbreak, and will demand that clubs pay the £97 million release clause that is in his contract.
It seems that Chelsea have been given the all clear to make a summer move and sign barcelona wonderkid Xavier Mbuyamba in the transfer window.
The football has been stopped until further notice, meaning that there is alot of transfer speculation in the media about whom Chelsea could try and sign during the summer window in order to help improve on their side.
They have been linked with some big names over the past few weeks, and Chelsea fans are hoping for some big time players to arrive, but the Blues will also be keeping an eye out for some of the best talents in the game.
Mbuyamba moved to the Nou Camp last summer from MVV Maastricht in his homeland but has not got the kind of game time that he had been hoping for, with his representative confirming he is already looking to continue his development.
He spent time at Chelsea on trial last summer, but the Blues were unable to sign him, but recent reports has claimed that Lampard may reignite his interest in the talented young man this summer.
No they have been boosted ahead of the summer transfer window, as the video below reveals.
Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Jesus Corona, with the player’s agent confirming talks have been held over a summer move.
It is no secret that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is eager to strengthen his squad ahead of next season and add a few more wingers to the side, especially as it seems that both Willian and Pedro will be leaving the Bridge.
And that has led to alot of speculation that Chelsea will try and make a summer move to bring in Jadon Sancho, who is reportedly the Blues top target, but who will cost around £100 million to acquire.
The coronavirus may stop big transfer deals from getting done this transfer window meaning that Chelsea may miss out on Sancho, and The FC Porto star is considered a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho.
The 27-year-old is highly rated in Portugal, having bagged two goals and 17 assists from 41 outings this season, and the Mexican’s agent has now confirmed contact has been made by Chelsea over a move.
“At some point we talked to them,” Matias Bunge told Medio Tiempo.
“I cannot say if he’s option A, B or C, now they are rather rumours.
“We’ll have to wait a bit for this to continue moving forward and for the leagues to begin again, and from there see what the next movements will be because the market is a little bit stopped.
“He has two years left on his contract. He did awaken a lot of interest for his participation in this particular tournament (Primera Liga), which has been outstanding and at a high level.
“But now with the current situation of the virus everything has slowed down a bit, now the signings are in quarantine.”
Chelsea target Erling Haaland will end up playing in the Premier League one day, says Norwegian journalist and former Premier League striker Jan Aage Fjortoft.
Now Look, Frank Lampard has one of the most exciting and dynamic sides in the Premier League and with the right signings in the summer, could become real contenders for that Premier League title next season, especially if they manage to land a new striker.
We all know that Tammy Abraham has been brilliant for Chelsea this season and is leading the line well, but Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi can be hit and miss, meaning that Lampard will need to delve into that transfer kitty and land a striker, a forward that can bang in goals on a weekly basis.
Many fans will have their favourite on who the Blues should sign in the summer to improve this squad, but many are hoping that a future transfer deal for Haaland can be done by the Chelsea hierarchy.
Haaland is one of Europe’s hottest properties having scored 29 goals in 27 games for RB Salzburg before moving to Borussia Dortmund in January and scoring 13 goals in 14 games.
And amid all the transfer speculation regarding the young man, Speaking on The Football Show, fellow Norwegian Fjortoft believes Haaland will “absolutely” play in the Premier League at one point, but he doesn’t see that happening in the short term and praised the 19-year-old’s development so far.
“What I’ve been impressed by Erling and the team around is they’ve chosen he places he can develop as a player.
“He went from Molde – where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was his manager, so you can imagine how hard it was for Manchester United not to get him when he moved to Dortmund! – to Red Bull Salzburg, a great arena for a young kid. And this time he went to Dortmund, which is a great place for him now.
“Do I think he will play in the Premier League in the future? Absolutely, I think he will go to the Premier League eventually, but where he will end up, I am not sure.
“It might take him some time; I think it went quicker than he had thought in Salzburg, with success in the Champions League, but he is in a good place now.
“I can’t see him moving in the short term, but in the long term yes, of course, he will end up in the Premier League, like all big players will eventually.”
Haaland is a player that we love and would love to see in the Premier League, Chelsea will surely be in the battle to try and get a deal done if he is coming to the English game.
