Fans react to possible Haaland deal, Chelsea urged to sign Alaba, Isco wants Madrid exit, Eriksen-Jorginho swap deal and fans react to possible Alaba signing in Chelsea roundup…

Glen Johnson has urged Chelsea to consider a move for Bayern Munich star David Alaba in the summer transfer window.

It was only a few weeks ago that news broke that Alaba is not keen on staying at Bayern, that he has rejected the clubs latest contract offer and he is not seeking his next move in the game.

Real Madrid are the favourites to get a transfer deal done, but Chelsea have been named as another destination for the Swiss International, who also has the ability to play in central midfield and in the middle of that back-line.

And amid all the speculation, Johnson has come out and urged Chelsea to make a move for Alaba: Chelsea would need Alaba the most,’ ex-Chelsea full-back Johnson told bettingexpert.com ‘If they’re going to play with wing-backs he would be the ideal man because he’s an unbelievably good athlete and could play on the left of a back three or as a left wing-back.

‘Alaba could fit at Liverpool, but as we’ve seen with big-money defenders, Manchester City are the club that normally do that. If anybody needed him to slot into their formation right now that would be Chelsea.

“I don’t think he should be walking into a club where he’s the highest paid player. Because he’s out of contract I’m sure he’s trying to get a few big teams to come to the table and go to war over him.

‘I think every manager thinks differently and has their views on players that they prefer to sign. I think Tuchel will want to bring some players in and I think his number on target will be a striker, just like every team.’

Fans have reacted to the reports that Erling Haaland is on the shopping list for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel.

Ex-Boss Frank Lampard managed to bring the highly-exciting Timo Werner to the club last summer to bolster his attack, but despite all the hype that the German brought to the club, he has failed to make the impact that many had hoped.

In fact he has struggled so much in front of goal that Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud were preferred up top by Lampard, who got the sack earlier this season and replaced by the impressive Tuchel.

However, there are many reports in the media that Tuchel is looking to sign a striker in the summer window, and he has set his sights on trying to secure some kind of deal for Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland is already one of the most deadly strikers in World football, has again broke the 20-goal barrier already this season and is a man that is destined to become one of the best forwards in world football, maybe ever.

He is valued at £66 million and although Dortmund do not want to sell, they know that Haaland has a desire to play in the Premier League or La Liga, meaning that if the right club comes calling, he may push for a move away.

And amid the speculation, fans have taken to Social Media platform Reddit to voice their opinion on whether or not the powerhouse could make the move to the Bridge.

One fan said: ‘Honestly, I think he’s that good that any club that doesn’t get goals out of him don’t deserve to land him.

‘He’s so clinical, and his movement is so difficult to defend against that he’s able to score against any team. He’d be great for us, as we’ve missed a ton of chances, but not sure he’ll think we are the best environment for him unfortunately.

Another added: “If City are seriously in for him he will go there, pep , poss Messi, and prob EPL champs add to that his dad was at city. Tommy at Chelsea is a draw but not enough, I fear and that assumes we get top 4 KTBFFH”

Another got involved and said: “He’s fantastic but we won’t sign him.

“Also there’s that Chelsea risk of signing him and Him not hitting a barn door”

And one fan simply said: “YES'”

Chelsea have proposed a swap deal involving Jorginho and Christian Eriksen to Inter in the summer transfer window.

Eriksen left Tottenham for the dizzy heights of Italian football just over 12 months ago as he did not want to be part of the Jose Mourinho era, but despite being one of the most creative players in the Premier League, he has struggled at Milan.

He has not got the game time that he had hoped, and there has been alot of speculation over the past few months that Milan will look to cash in on the player at the end of the current season.

Now, reports on Italian publication Calciomercato have claimed that Chelsea have proposed a swap deal for Eriksen, which would involve Jorginho heading the other way. with the report adding the Blues will demand a €20 million (£18m/$24m) payment to finalise the deal.

Jorginho will head to San Siro if the two clubs can reach a final agreement, as it seems that he is not part of the long-term plans that Thomas Tuchel has for this exciting Chelsea side.

Look, Eriksen has flopped at Milan and not looked like the player he was at Tottenham, so yes there could be an argument that Tuchel could get the best out of the man.

But at the end of the day, signing him would not offer much more than what Jorginho offers right now, he would only be a good squad member and not the type of signing that would excite the fans.

Fans have had their say as to whether or not David Alaba would be a good signing for Chelsea in the summer.

Regarded as one of the finest left-backs in world football right now, has won countless trophies at Bayern, and a man that could walk into most sides in world football, Alaba is on the market for free in the summer.

He does not intend to sign a new contract at Bayern, despite the fact that they have offered him a new deal, and it seems that a move to La Liga or the Premier League will be the one that the defender makes, with Chelsea and Real Madrid the two clubs most keen on a deal.

But amid the speculation, Glen Johnson came out and told the club why they should sign Alaba, he said: ‘If they’re going to play with wing-backs he would be the ideal man because he’s an unbelievably good athlete and could play on the left of a back three or as a left wing-back.

But do Chelsea fans agree? we asked that question and got a response from fans as to whether or not he would be a good signing, here is what some of those fans had to say.

One fan said: ‘We love Chilwell, he was a brilliant signing, but how could you turn down the chance to sign Alaba?

another added: ‘One of the best in world football and a player that would cost £50 million to sign, the chance to sign him is there and considering we are struggling with left-backs at the club, he would be a world class signing’

Another put: ‘yes go get him….NOW!

Sevilla director of football Monchi says out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder and long-term Chelsea target Isco wants to leave the Liga giants.

Isco has been a name that has constantly been linked with a move to the the Bridge over the past three years, but despite all the speculation and despite all the rumours, the Blues have never been able to get a transfer deal done

But Isco has rarely featured under Zinedine Zidane this season and that has led to him once again being frustrated at the lack of game time he has been receiving, and he is now fed up and wants to leave the Spanish giants.

Monchi said Isco’s name had come up in discussions with Sevilla club president Jose Castro about possible transfer targets, but that they had no real interest in bringing him in, opening the door for Arsenal to get a deal done

Monchi told Estadio Deportivo: “The conversation lasted approximately 15 or 20 seconds. It is news that has come out, he asked me and I said no, that was all the interest in Isco.

“We do not live in a basement and read things, but I talk to the president or vice-president on a day-to-day basis, and there are things that jump out and the president asks me if that is true and I say ‘Yes, yes, I have not told you’, but it is not the case with Isco.

“It is a rumour, a logical rumour, because he wants to leave and here is a coach with who he played at a high level, but there is absolutely nothing, not a movement.”
