Father addresses Haaland to Man United links, Agent confirms Man United interested in signing defender and huge Pogba claim by ex-Red Devil

Man United becoming game changer, United interested in Tavares and Haaland father addresses rumours in Manchester United roundup…

Paul Pogba is becoming a “game-changer” for Manchester United, says Dimitar Berbatov.

It is no secret that Paul Pogba has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons during his time at Old Trafford, and it even looked like he could leave the club during this January transfer window.

Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, has claimed that he considers his client’s stint in England to be “over”, with it only a matter of time before a new challenge is sought elsewhere, but Vital goals have been delivered in meetings with Burnley and Fulham, allowing United to take up a standing at the top of the Premier League table.

And Berbatov is pleased to see undoubted potential being unlocked in a player who has faced plenty of criticism across a second spell in Manchester.

The former United striker told Betfair: “For me, in a team performance, some players can shine. It could be Pogba or Bruno Fernandes, but it is the mindset of the team as a whole to overcome results.

“People were criticising Pogba but now they should be praising him. Everyone would like to see Pogba playing like this as much as possible. If he is 100 per cent fit, happy and settled in his environment with his focus only on football then his performances can be decisive.

“Back in December his agent said he was unhappy and there was talk of him leaving, look at him now! The truth is out there somewhere – you know that film!

“You hear whispers and rumours. I say it as a joke, but you look at Pogba now and do you see someone who is unhappy? I see someone enjoying his football, scoring goals and intercepting the ball. He looks happy playing for the team.

“Maybe in December there were other factors, maybe it was an injury or other factors. However, for now, if he continues like this with the game he is showing, the quality is there to be a game-changer.

“He is playing for one of the biggest teams in the world and is one of the game’s biggest stars. He must be happy because his body language looks like he is happy, fit and healthy. That is great for him and the team.

“He looks happy most of the time. Sometimes critics can affect you and your performance, but at the moment, he should be happy with himself.

“Pogba is a bigger superstar than I was and the spotlight is bigger on him. The pressure on him is worse. He needs to perform and carry the team. When you are producing games like this you want to yell back at the critics and say ‘do you see me now, this is what I can do’.

“Of course you are going to have bad games. All players go through this phase. At the moment, he should just be very pleased with himself. His qualities are game changing when the team needs them.”

Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares is on Manchester United’s radar, according to football agent Cesar Boaventura

With Luke Shaw and Alex Telles at their disposal it’s unlikely United’s immediate priority will be to sign another left-back – however Tavares is certainly one to keep an eye on for the future.

The left-back has been impressing many big clubs over the past few months, and it is a known fact that Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on his potential, as they plan a bid in the summer transfer window.

But despite having to two top-class left-backs at the club, La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Red Devils have their eye on the 20-year-old, who is also being tracked by Serie A duo Roma and Napoli.

In a recent interview Radio Marte, football agent Cesar Boaventura revealed United are keeping tabs on Tavares – although a move in the January transfer window looks unlikely to materialise.

“This player can play for any club in Europe. But right now he can’t. He has to learn and grow,” Boaventura said.

“Right now I don’t think United want to take him. Nor that Benfica want to sell him in January.”

Describing his key attributes, Boaventura added: “He’s a fast player, one of the fastest players in the whole Portuguese league.

“He’s young. Maybe he’s not a player ready for a big one. But he could be in the future. Within a couple of years. He can become one of the best in Europe.”

Erling Haaland’s father has had his say on reports linking the Borussia Dortmund starlet with a move to Manchester United.

Regarded as one of the best strikers in the game right now, Haaland is a man that has all the big clubs circling for a potential transfer deal at the end of the season, especially as his release clause in just £66 million.

It is no secret that Manchester United are massive fans of the man, have been keen even before he signed for Borussia Dortmund, and are one club that are willing to pay that cheap asking price to try and get a deal done.

And amid the speculation, his father has opened up on reports linking Haaland with a move to Old Trafford: “Manchester United have achieved great success in recent years,” Alf-Inge Haaland told German outlet Sport1.

“The club is also trying to build something new there. But to draw comparison now is not so easy because he (Erling) is already playing in Dortmund.

“These are two very traditional clubs with a large fan base and a glorious history. Man United is a very proud club, just like Dortmund in Germany.”

Look, if Haaland is on the market at the end of the season, we are just very interested to see where he makes his next move too, as we would love to see the young man strut his stuff here in the premier League.

So we cant wait until the summer window, this will be a move that will excite many fans around the globe
