will chelsea sign erling haaland?

Borussia Dortmund CEO Joachim-Hans Watzke has admitted the club will have to start planning for life without Chelsea target Erling Haaland in the summer, but would fans like him to replace Romelu Lukaku?

Haaland is one of the most talked about, in-demand and dominant players in Europe right now and there has been a whole load of rumours suggesting that he will be playing at one of the biggest clubs in Europe at the end of the season.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are just a number of clubs that have been linked with the man, who cannot stop scoring for the Bundesiga outfit.

As of June, a clause in his contract means he will be available for just £64million and it is likely to start a bidding war amongst the biggest clubs in Europe, and now Dortmund chief Joachim-Hans Watzke admitting it will be ‘difficult’ for them to hold on to their prized asset.

“Who would give one of the best strikers in Europe away in the winter market if they didn’t have to?’ Watzke said in an interview with Der Spiegel, as per Marca.

“He will not leave in January. Dortmund is still in three competitions and we want to compete with the best teams.

“Of course it’ll be difficult to retain him. However, we want to and we’ll try.

“Haaland will not leave in January, but in summer it will be difficult to keep him.”

Haaland will become one of the very best strikers in the game, even the best. But he needs to make sure that the club that he joins next is the right one for him, as he may struggle to adapt.

However, £64 million is not alot of money to pay for a player that already has the ability to score 30-goals a season, it will be interesting to see just where he ends up at the end of the season.

Lukaku is the number one striker at Chelsea, but him and Tuchel dont get on meaning that a move is truely on the cards. But would fans like to see Lukaku leave and Haaland arrive?
