£80m Frenchman to be perfect signing? Would fans welcome £100m striker? Lampard opens up on possible Chelsea deal for record-breaking Spaniard

Guys here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer talk over the past 24 hours from icfootballnews.com

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said reports linking Kepa Arrizabalaga with a Stamford Bridge exit are “false”, as suggestions have claimed that the Blues are keen on Jan Oblak.

Chelsea failed to get any business done during the January window, but it will mean that Frank Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad in the summer that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch.

And one area of the pitch that he reportedly wants to build on in the summer is that of the stopper area, as there have been a lot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few weeks that Lampard is not happy with the performances of young Spanish stopper Kepa.

The Spanish shot-stopper, who is the most expensive goalkeeper ever, has struggled for form this season and was axed in favour of veteran Willy Caballero, as Lampard has made it very clear that Kepa’s standards have not been good enough for a team chasing a top-four finish, and he already has his eyes on a replacement, with Oblak on the shopping list.

However, despite all the speculation linking the worlds most expensive stopper with a move away from the Club, Lampard has come out and claimed that those reports are false and Kepa still does have a future with the Stamford Bridge outfit.

He said on the Sun: “I have read a lot of false articles this week, probably guessing on players.

“Every time I see a Chelsea player put on the shirt they are in control of their own destiny somewhat individually. You can’t always control collectively the result.”

Would Chelsea fans prefer the club make a move for Raphale Varane over Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer window?

Chelsea failed to get any business done during the January window, but it will mean that Frank Lampard will be able to delve into the clubs transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad in the summer that will add some experience, and quality in the right areas of the pitch.

And one name that will be high up on the shopping list of the Blues boss is that of Koulibaly who is easily regarded as one of the finest central defenders in Seria A, and around Europe.

The Powerhouse is ranked just behind Virgil Van Dijk as one of the best defenders in the game after helping Napoli become one of the best sides in Europe, but with his massive £150 million price tag putting a lot of teams off, Chelsea may have to make a move for a world class alternative, someone like Varane?

Admittedly, it’s not been the best year for Varane, and this year was less gold-tinged than the campaigns that preceded it, after an outstanding 2018 World Cup where the 26-year-old turned in superb performance after superb performance for winners France.

That followed on from the four Champions League and two La Liga titles he’d previously won – not a bad haul for a player who will only turn 27 in April.

Varane is the complete central defender. He reads the game expertly and possesses the recovery speed to cover for team-mates’ mistakes, while he’s adept at stepping into midfield with the ball and setting his side on the attack.

It would be a massive ask for the likes of Chelsea to prise him away, and the Blues would need to get back inside the Champions League places first, but as we said in previous articles, the right offer will get the Spaniards at the negotiating table, and when they are there, anything could happen.

Would Chelsea fans welcome the possible summer signing of towering striker Erling Haaland, if they could prise him away from Dortmund?

Now Look, Frank Lampard has one of the most exciting and dynamic sides in the Premier League and with the right signings in the summer, could become real contenders for that Premier League title next season, especially if they manage to land a new striker.

We all know that Tammy Abraham has been brilliant for Chelsea this season and is leading the line well, but Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi can be hit and miss, meaning that Lampard will need to delve into that transfer kitty and land a striker, a forward that can bang in goals on a weekly basis.

Many fans will have their favourite on who the Blues should sign in the summer to improve this squad, but we believe that a £100 million move to sign up the Bundesliga sensation Haaland, would be a move worth making for the Blues.

The towering teenager has already turned heads across Europe with his impressive showings for RB Salzburg – scoring 16 times in the Austrian Bundesliga – which earned him a move to Dortmund in January, and he got his start in the German Bundesliga in the most memorable of fashions, scoring a hat-trick during his debut as a substitute.

He has netted an impressive 25-goals already this season and will easily break the 30-goal barrier for Dortmund, meaning that interest in his services in the summer will once again dominate the headlines.

yes he has only just moved to Dortmund, but look, Money talks, And Dortmund have proven in the past that they will be more than willing to let players leave if the money is too good to turn down, and £100 million is a lot of money.

Abraham needs a partner next season and Haaland has all the attributes, quality and ability to be a real star at Chelsea. Lampard knows he needs to add a striker, and right now, he would be value for money.

He would be a great signing in front of Hakim Ziyech, and would help Chelsea turn back into possible Premier League Champions, AND HONESTLY, CHELSEA FANS WOULD SURELY LOVE THIS GUY.
