£35M star opens up and officially reveals decision to join Chelsea this summer!
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has spoken to talkSPORT about his decision to leave Leicester for Chelsea after the Blues made the shock decision to bring the midfielder to Stamford Bridge in a shock £35 million deal.
After the arrival of Enzo Maresca at the beginning of the summer window – it was claimed that the Italian was very keen to bring Drewsbury-Hall to Stamford Bridge after a very impressive season at Leicester last year.
The midfielder has been at CHELSEA for a few weeks now and has already impressed many at the club – and now Drewsbury-Hall has opened up and revealed just why he made the decision to join Chelsea – He told talkSPORT: “I was just relaxing and doing some off-season readout for my injury.
“I just got a call saying that are you ready to go and do it? When that call comes in, as a player you only want one thing after that. Luckily it happened quite quickly and managed to get it done.”
He added: “It was a tough decision. I was at Leicester for 16 years. So I said there was only one for my mind, but look, it was something I had to sit down with my friends and family, all of my family are from Leicester.
“It was a decision I didn’t take lightly, but as I feel like I was at a point in my career where I really want to kick on and try and achieve something in the game.
“Chelsea feels like a club that’s now trying to build something.”
