Jessie Lingard is still working hard to try and get a contract with WEST HAM, as the Hammers can still get a free deal done.

Lingard was a player that West Ham tried to sign last summer window, but he made the decision to take the money and make the move to Nottingham Forest in a move that shocked many in the Premier League.

However – that move has not quite worked out and he is now closing in on a move to the Hammers after they decided to reignite their interest in the midfielder and add a bit more depth to the squad, and a deal is getting closer according to Sheth.

On the 30-year-old midfielder, Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: “One hundred per cent, yes. He has been training with the first-team squad for the last month now we think.

“And it was primarily to keep his fitness up. But it’s starting to develop now. And we’re told initial talks have taken place between West Ham United and Lingard’s representatives about a short-term deal.

“But as you mentioned it can happen after the window because he is a free agent. So he’s not tied down to the deadline of this Friday at 11 o’clock and he can move next week.”

SHOULD WEST HAM GIVE LINGARD A CONTRACT?

The man still has something to offer the club and it would not harm the side by giving him a contract for the next 12 months, especially with the European games that the club will have this season.

He made the mistake by not joining the club last summer, something that he regrets, but he has been working hard to earn himself a contract now and we are sure David Moyes will give him one.

As we said – that WEST HAM side does not have alot of depth in the squad and Lingard has the ability to play in a number of positions – so it could work out for everybody.

But even if they dont hand Lingard a deal – we are expecting a very exciting season for the club – the new signings have really made a difference.

KUDUS CLAIM MADE – 

Dean Jones has admitted that summer signing Mohammed Kudus will get West Ham fans off their seats.

WEST HAM had brought in Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse and Konstantinos Mavropanos this summer before a move was made to bring the exciting Kudus to the club in a deal that would cost £38 million.

Kudus has been persistently linked with a move to the Premier League over the last 12 months, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United all linked with a transfer move for the attacker.

West Ham instead have landed the coveted Ghana international who was sold on the project in east London by the club’s technical director Tim Steidten. And if you believe the words of Journalist Dean Jones – he is the type of player that will get the Hammers fans excited and off their bums.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, transfer insider Jones said: “West Ham United have come out of the window in good shape considering they have lost their best player and captain. The process has had its wobbles but the blend of Moyes targets and Steidten targets seems to have brought about a squad enhancement that fans can be excited about.

‘The signing of Mohammed Kudus has massive potential, and he will get fans off their seats. Their season domestically should look nothing like it did last term. I think top half is almost guaranteed and anything beyond that will be an achievement.”

Kudus revealed that he moved to WEST HAM because he loved the project at the club: ‘The project he presented to me was developing the club to the best possible level they can so he wants to sign new young talents, play good football, and that’s fits with my ambition and goal as a player,’ Kudus told West Ham’s official website.

‘I want to play in the Premier League, but I also want to play at a club that I know I can develop.

‘I just loved the project that was presented to me, and I think it fits well with my ambition and where I’m heading to.’

He continued: ‘My family always support me 100 per cent and advise me. Of course, it’s football, and I’m going to be on the pitch and have most of the experiences, so I just follow my gut feeling because most of my decisions I make, it’s from my stomach and what my gut feeling is telling me and it was telling me it was West Ham, so my family supported me 100 per cent.’

JWP CLAIM MADE – 

James Ward-Prowse has opened up and revealed why West Ham are the perfect club for him.

Ward-Prowse spent two decades at Southampton before joining West Ham last month in a deal that is seen as a real bargain, and he has already made an impact on that WEST HAM side with some impressive performances.

“I could feel it on my debut against Chelsea,” Ward-Prowse told Standard Sport ahead of Friday night’s visit to Luton – “There was a feeling in the air — the aggressive, hard-working nature of the club. That’s what I like.

“Before joining a club, you want to make sure you’re aligned and a [good] fit. From the outside looking in, I saw West Ham as a passionate, determined, hard working, aggressive club and that’s how I’ve always based my game. It’s a good fit for me.”

“Looking around at the team when we’re lining up at set pieces, there’s already a bit of excitement in my stomach thinking, ‘Wow, this is a great opportunity’,” Ward-Prowse said. “For me, they’re one of the easiest ways to score.

“It doesn’t require any brilliance to put a ball in an area and have lads willing to attack it. [Set pieces are] the strongest part of my game, but I do offer a lot more than that. The manager said some nice things about why he wanted to bring me here, [mentioning] my goals and assists and the leadership factor as well.”
