Journalist Ben Jacobs has opened up and claimed that the signing of Jorrel Hato by CHELSEA could be announced in the next 24-48 hours, as the defender has alreasy agreed personal terms.
Enzo Maresca has brought a belief back to the club that has now won two trophies in the last few months, and has also managed to build a squad that is one of the most enjoyable to watch in the English top-flight.
Chelsea have multiple central defensive options already but the report claims that Axel Disasi could leave amid interest from Villarreal. The Blues are hoping to earn around £30m ($40m) if they sell the centre-back, who spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Aston Villa.
Per talkSPORT recently claimed that Chelsea have opened talks over a deal to sign Hato from Ajax as they seek defensive reinforcements this summer.
And the reliable Ben Jacobs, who is well connected at Chelsea, says that the Blue are “hoping to finalise” the deal “this week, as it has been claimed that a fee and terms have already been agreed.
“Deal advanced and potentially agreed in the next 24-48 hours,” the journalist said

Hato is at that age that he does not need to leave Ajax, that he does not need to come to the Premier League, he could develop exactly where he is, but money will surely be the issue on why he is coming to England.
He is a talented lad with a big future, he will be a great signing for CHELSEA, but this move did not need to happen at this stage of his career, as right now he will be going from a regular starter to back-up for Marc Cucurella
