Mikel Arteta ‘has made Arsenal worse’ with big summer signing – fans told
Don Hutchinson has claimed that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has made his side worse with the £65million addition of Kai Havertz.
The decision was made from ARSENAL to splash £65 million on the German at the very start of the summer transfer window in a move that shocked many in the Premier League.
He had a decent pre-season and looked like he was settling into life at the Emirates pretty well, but he has not started the new season like many people had hope for and looks like the player that was pretty much useless last season for Chelsea.
Now – Hutchinson has claimed that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has made his side worse with the signing of the former Chelsea attacker –
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Speaking on BBC 5 Live Sport: “What’s happened is a manager being stubborn and a manager who has spent an awful lot of money on Kai Havertz and now he’s trying to shoehorn him in and it’s unbalanced them.
“I think if you asked any Arsenal fan what their ideal midfield three would be it would be Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice.
“The fact that Havertz has come in and he’s playing in midfield, that’s shifted Thomas Partey to right-back.”
If ARSENAL needed a player like Havertz in the side we could understand why he was signed in the summer, but they do not. When all the players are back fit and healthy, we think he will be on the bench.
It was a strange decision from Arsenal to sign Havertz and we think it will be a decision they will regret.
This ARSENAL side needed to make signings that would have an immediate impact on the side, and although they have done that, Havertz is a man that is bringing all the wrong kind of headlines to the club.
Arteta will work hard with the German to get the best out of him, but we simply cant see where he fits into that system at the Emirates, and when everyone is fully fit, he will not be a regular starter.
