Lampard excited about exciting new Chelsea signing, striker delighted after OFFICIALLY sealing latest Chelsea deal, Blues close to Mendy signing, Havertz price is crazy, Koulibaly heading to England

Exciting Havertz message sent, Chelsea Mendy deal is close, Havertz price is crazy and Batshuayi completes deal in Chelsea news roundup…

Kaveh Solhekol says Chelsea are edging closer to a move for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, who is keen to make that move to Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard has so far delved into that transfer kitty more often than any other side in the Premier League and signed the players that he believes will add a bit more quality to the Blues side.

They have added goals with the signing of Timo Werner, added a bit more creativity with Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech, while also improving the back-line with the signings of Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva, but it wont stop there/.

It has been revealed in recent days that Chelsea are in advanced talks to wrap up a transfer deal for Mendy, who is keen to make the move to the Bridge, and will provide a challenge for Spaniard Kepa.

And amid all teh speculation that he is on his way to the club, Solhekol has opened up and revealed that his move to the premier League giants is very close, he told the Sky Sports website: “As far as we know, talks are ongoing and he is close to becoming a Chelsea player.

“We know that Frank Lampard wants to sign a goalkeeper and Mendy wants to come to Stamford Bridge and become a Chelsea player.

“And the price Chelsea will end up paying is something that will prove to have been a good buy judging on how well he has performed for Rennes.”

Michy Batshuayi has agreed a new deal at Chelsea and then completed his loan move to Crystal Palace.

With all the signings that Chelsea have made this transfer window, there was no more need to keep Batshuayi at the club this summer, and Chelsea have made the decision to let the striker head back to Palace on loan.

The Belgium international striker returns to Selhurst Park following a successful loan spell at the back-end of the 2018/19 season, where he scored six goals in 13 appearances for the Eagles.

Chelsea announced on the club website: “Michy Batshuayi has today agreed a one-year contract extension at Chelsea and joined Crystal Palace on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.”

And upon making the move back to Palace, Batshuayi has admitted his delight at the deal, He told the Eagles’ official website: “My target is to win a lot of games with the team. Palace are a good team and a dangerous team for the big clubs.

“I want to win and to score, to do my job to help the team and I know my team-mates will help me as well.”

Batshuayi will hope to play regularly for Palace and earn a spot in Belgium’s squad for next summer’s European Championship.

Roy Hodgson added: “He made a great impact at the club in his previous loan spell, albeit only five months long, displaying a goal scoring threat which we very much needed at that time and we are confident he will produce again.

“As a player who will help to convert our chances in to goals, Michy will be another valuable addition to the two new signings we have made this summer.”

Frank Lampard is still pleased as punch to have Kai Havertz on board after he secure a deal for the German

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard knows that he needed to add a goal-scoring midfielder, like himself, to the side this summer to help take the club forward while also adding goals to the attack.

And after seeing Havertz net an impressive 18-goals last season, the Chelsea boss decided that Havertz was the player that he wanted the most this summer, and after a few months of talks, the Blues finally got their man.

He arrives at the club on a deal that is worth £71 million, while his wage packet at the club will make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League, not just at Stamford Bridge.

And Lampard has now opened up and announced his excitement at having the German at the club, the Blues boss was quoted on TALKSPORT: “He is a player I have been aware of for a long time and as a fellow attacking midfield player, I have paid particular attention to those type of players for some time.

“I was aware of his talent and in conjunction with the club.

“We know how we want to go forward and look to improve in the right areas, and for players who are going to be here hopefully to improve and mature, but are already at a very high level.

“He absolutely fitted the bill for us, so I am delighted to have him.”

The amount of money Chelsea spent on new signing Kai Havertz was ‘ridiculous’ and ‘crazy’, Dimitar Berbatov has claimed.

Chelsea ended months of transfer speculation last week when they officially brought the German midfielder to the club after months of negotiations with Leverkusen about a transfer deal.

He arrives at the club on a deal that is worth £71 million, while his wage packet at the club will make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League, not just at Stamford Bridge.

It is understood the 21-year-old is in line to make his full debut for Chelsea as they take on Brighton in their Premier League opener next Monday, but despite admitting he is a fantastic addition at Stamford Bridge, Man United legend Berbatov believes the Blues paid too much for the German.

“I think the amount of money spent on Kai Havertz was a little too much for my taste,” he told Betfair.

“It’s ridiculous, it’s too much money. Havertz is a great talent, and I have said.”

It is alot of money to pay for a player that still has alot to prove in the game, but at the end of the day, that is what clubs have to pay in todays game for talents like this man.

Chelsea transfer target Kalidou Koulibaly could be on his way to the Premier League this summer, according to reports

Koulibaly has firmly established himself as one of the very best centre-backs over in Italy over the past few seasons and his performances have led to rumours that he is coming to the Premier League

The 29-year-old defender has been linked with big-money moves to Chelsea for months now, but the Blues have so far failed to get any real transfer business done as the asking price for Koulibaly has been set too high by the Italian club.

However, the TalkSport website has claimed that the defender could be all set to make that big money move to the Premier League, with title rivals Manchester City now the favourites to secure a deal.

He is set to command a fee similar to what Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk – £75million as Pep Guardiola looks to bolster his back-line once more ahead of the new Premier League season this weekend.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently confirmed Kalidou Koulibaly will leave for the right price this summer, De Laurentiis told Canale 21: “Koulibaly and [Napoli striker Arkadiusz] Milik are both on their way out, transfer market permitting.

“So, if the transfer market allows us to sell these two excellent players, we will know how to replace them.

“If not, then we’ll discuss it again next year.”
