Havertz wants la Liga Star At Arsenal – he says – Striker opens door to move – Arsenal wants Bundesliga star

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres has offered an update on his future amid interest from Arsenal over a summer move.

Gyokeres has scored 27 goals in the League for Sporting and is one of the form attacking players in European football this term, with many reports in the medcia suggesting that he could be sold in the coming transfer window.

Europe’s elite are queueing up to prise the Sweden international away from Lisbon after his stunning start to life with Sporting, and ARSENAL are one of the clubs that are desperate to delve into that transfer kitty and add a 30 goals a season forward to that attack

Now the striker has given the likes of Arsenal a chance to get a possible transfer deal done – The striker told Bola Na Rede: “It was a good day and we will definitely celebrate. Let’s see what will happen, it’s just beginning. It’s my first title.

‘I explain the celebration at the end of the season, after the league and cup. Let’s try to win everything. Ruben Amorim is a great coach, I wouldn’t mind if he continued (laughs). I had many coaches, but of course Ruben Amorim brought me here, he was very important in my career.

“Thank you Sportinguistas, see you soon. It’s football, I can’t promise anything, I have a contract and I won’t be sad if I stay, I’m very happy, but we’ll see what happens.

‘We can’t predict much, but let’s see what next year will be like, we still have games this season.”

The transfer window is many months away and there will be alot of rumours – but one thing is for certain – Gyokeres is a player that could add to that ARSENAL attack – he is a real goal-machine right now.

He may be good enough for that Portuguese League – but he could really struggle to make the impact that he would like in the Premier League – it is another level.

SESKO INTEREST CONFIRMED BY ROMANO –

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is a player that Arsenal are looking at ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners spent heavily in the summer transfer window, breaking their own transfer record to sign a number of players that they feel will help drive the club into a new era of winning trophies.

However – despite the good form of Gabriel Jesus, there are many out there that believe the club are still lacking a striker to score the goals on a regular basis, with the likes of Victor Gyokeres linked.

ARSENAL are favourites to land Gyokeres as they look to add a notable striker to Mikel Arteta’s squad, and the 27 goal striker is believed to be open to leaving Sporting at at the end of the season for the right project.

But he is no the only option for Arsenal, according to Romano, who has claimed that Sesko is also a player that the Gunners board are interested in signing at the end of the season, he said: “Arsenal have been scouting Sporting players multiple times this year, so Gyokeres is a player they appreciate, alongside Alexander Isak at Newcastle.

‘They also appreciate Benjamin Sesko at RB Leipzig, so it’s still early days and Arsenal are exploring the strikers market, but let’s see what they’re going to decide in terms of the budget,” Romano said.

“For his part, Gyokeres wants to keep all the options open, so he could be one to watch in the summer transfer window.

“Let’s see what Arsenal decide to do, but personally I’d go for a proper number 9, someone who can score guaranteed goals.

‘I’m big fan of Gyokeres and Sesko but it’s not easy to pay big amount of money for top strikers so ARSENAL are facing an important decision.

“In any case, it’s also worth saying that they are super happy with Kai Havertz’s performances up front, and also with his attitude.”

HAVERTZ WANTS FELIX –

Kai Havertz was recently asked if there are any other players he wants to make the jump to Arsenal after an impressive start to life at the Emirates.

Havertz has scored 13 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions after initially struggling to make an impact at the Emirates at the beginning of the season.

Havertz failed to fulfil his potential at Stamford Bridge and that was one of the big reasons why the Blues opted to let him leave the club in the summer. And in an interview with Chinese streaming service iQIYI, he was asked if he would like any of his former Chelsea teammates to join him at Arsenal.

And out of all the stars that he played with at Stamford Bridge – the German star has named Jaoa Feliz as the player that he would have liked to see make the move to Arsenal

“I don’t even know, I think we have everyone here,” he replied. “I’m happy with the squad.” Havertz was then asked if Joao Felix, who spent six months on loan at Chelsea last season, would be a welcome addition for Arsenal and admitted he would be a “quality” signing.

“He’s an amazing player, a quality player for sure,” Havertz added. “But yeah, I have to say that I’m happy with the squad.”

And Havertz is hopeful ARSENAL can win the Premier League this season, Havertz is relishing the added pressure a title race brings: “I really enjoy every second,” he said.

“Sometimes I feel like I don’t even want to have a day off because you’re just so excited for the weekend and really want to work with the team, try to get everything out of us to be better prepared and we do that every single day.

“It’s going to be two tough games. We have a lot to play for, we have to win those games and then see where we’re going to go.

Right now, though, the mood is good but we’re going to prepare now for the big game this week against Manchester United and hopefully win that as well.

“We feel the pressure as we need to win the last games. Then when you don’t score, and it gets closer to half-time, obviously the nerves are coming but we tried to leave them behind us, and thanks to Bukayo for scoring his goal and making it a bit easier for us.”
