£400,000-a-week superstar officially addresses rumours he is heading to Chelsea in summer
Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has responded to rumours suggesting that he could be heading for a return to Chelsea in the summer.
Hazard was a superstar at Chelsea and in the Premier League, but gave that all up to follow his dream of playing for Madrid one day, and just a couple of windows ago, he got that move he desired.
However, the Belgian has been plagued by injuries and poor performances during his stay at the Bernabeu and has become a massive flop, and it has been reported in the media over the past few weeks that Madrid are open to letting Hazard go.
That has led to shock reports in the media that Chelsea would be very interested in making a move for the attacker, with reports also claiming that Hazard is very keen to make a move back to the club that he loves.
But despite all the speculation, the 30-year-old playmaker is expecting to be back for more in 2021-22, he was quoted on Marca: “I don’t see myself away from Real Madrid.
“I have three years on my contract and when I’m 100 per cent I’ll bring a lot to the team, I know what I have to do.
“Right now I’m focused on the Euros, but afterwards I’m going to do great things for Real Madrid.”
He added: “I had a very unlucky season, I’ve always been a very strong player when I’ve had consistency.
“I know I’m close to my best level now and I hope not to get injured again. I have some great years ahead of me.”
Hazard would be foolish to leave Madrid are fighting so hard to get that dream move, so unless there is an offer for him that Madrid cannot refuse, it would be a shock to see him leave the club in the summer.
However, Madrid have proven over the years that they will not carry players, and there are better options out there right now.
