Wow! £100 million Hazard ‘to hand in transfer request’ with Chelsea agreement made?
Reports have claimed Eden Hazard will look to hand in a transfer request in order to leave Chelsea this summer.
Hazard has been in spectacular form this season and has netted an impressive 26 goals in all competitions to keep Maurizio Sarri in the hunt for a top four spot and Champions League football, while also helping the Blues reach the Europa League semi-finals.
But his performances, and goals, have alerted Real Madrid to the fact that he is now in his prime and enjoying the best football of his career and they are reportedly ready to delve in and take the Belgian superstar to the Bernabeu in a deal worth around £60 million.
It is no secret that Madrid are in need of a summer overhaul and are ready to splash close to £400 million on new players on order to get back challenging Barcelona for the La Liga title, after a very poor season.
Maurizio Sarri convinced Hazard to stick with Chelsea for one more season and the club made it clear that they would not stand in his way should he decide to pursue a dream move to Real Madrid, and according to reports on Spanish publication AS, the Belgian star has told the club to honour their commitment and may look to hand in a transfer request if the agreement is kept.
The Belgian has reportedly reminded Chelsea’s board that they had an agreement and he’s hopeful that the Blues will settle on a reduced fee.
Losing Hazard will be a massive blow for the club as he is the main source of goals, and the Blues will have a very hard time of it trying to find an adequate replacement that will help guide the club in the right direction.
However, if the Blues did have an agreement to let Hazard leave the club at the end of the season, then they should stick to that agreement and let him leave, especially as he could
Chelsea may aswell take what they can for Hazard this coming summer, as losing the Belgian for nothing in 12 months time would be a very bad bit of business by the club.
