£100 million superstar Hazard has big Sarri message and reacts to Chelsea speculation on summer exit
Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has admitted that Maurizio Sarri is more than capable of building a side that will be able to start winning trophies on a regular basis.
Hazard has been in the headlines for al the wrong reasons over the past few months as all indications, and speculation, have suggested that he is leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and making a switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid, who are keen on a £100 million transfer deal.
The Spaniards are desperate to add some fresh superstars to the side and reportedly believe that Hazard is the perfect player to come in and help fill the void which was left by footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who was their main source of goals and the man that helped the side regain a third Champions League title.
The 28-year-old, however, is focusing solely on his objectives with Chelsea and believes Sarri is capable of building other title-winning squad, telling beIN Sports: ‘I don’t want to talk about that [my future] I’m focused on the last month with Chelsea and then we’ll see what happens.
‘Yeah of course [we can challenge] we are Chelsea. Every year we need to start thinking at the start of the season we can win a trophy. It is hard because at the moment City and Liverpool are better tan Chelsea but we are Chelsea and the last 10 years we won a lot of trophies.
‘Winning is about mentality if you think you can then you can win something.’
Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea this season and it will be a shame if he actually departs the Premier league, as he is one of the most gifted and exciting players Europe has to offer.
But his ambitions are high and he is sick of challenging for the lower placed places in the Premier League and Europa League, especially as the teams above them seem to be buying the type of players that improve the squad.
But f he leaves at the end of the season, Chelsea will need to find an adequate replacement, as his goals and creativity will be massively missed by Sarri and Chelsea fans will worry that the club is heading in the wrong direction.
However, Madrid have not yet made the move and may decide to wait 12 months and get him for nothing, he would only be 28 and in his prime, they will surely consider that option.
