Headline taking Argentine told to snub Arsenal and make Manchester United move

Jermaine Jenas has urged Mauricio Pochettino to snub Arsenal and wait for the Manchester United job.

After months and months and months of rumours and speculation about the future of Unai Emery, the Gunners finally decided to get rid of the Spanish boss this weekend after another poor showing in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Arsenal have now begun the process of searching for replacements for Emery, and recent reports have suggested that Members of Arsenal’s board are fans of Pochettino and he is ‘well liked’ by key figures at the club.

Some pundits have questioned whether Pochettino would join Arsenal due to his links with Tottenham but many at the club would love to see the Argentine make the move to the Emirates, especially after the club missed out on top target Jose Mourinho to Tottenham.

But Jenas says he is in ‘another bracket’ to Arsenal and should wait for the Unted job to come up, he told BT SPORT: ‘Arsenal’s a huge football club and I’m sure the wages would be great for Mauricio.

‘I put myself in his shoes though and would say his stock is far higher than that personally. ‘I think the job he did at Tottenham puts him in another bracket.

‘I think if I was Mauricio I’d be sat there going well I’ll have six months off to recuperate and rest as I have been working non-stop for six years.

‘Come the end of the season there’s a good chance that Manchester United might ring the phone, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid.’

Pochettino is a top-class coach that has all the ability to lead one of the biggest clubs in the game, so it is obvious that Arsenal would be interested, he is the idea signing for the club.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has massive issues at United and it will surely not be long before United make the decision to get rid, especially if he fails to get the kind of results which will allow United to get back into the habit of winning trophies and playing Champions League football.

If Arsenal do not sign the Argentine, then United should, he would be the perfect addition to their side too.
