Headline-taking star wants £300,000-a-week contract to complete Manchester United move

Reports have claimed that Manchester United will have to hand Erling Haaland a big contract in order to complete a transfer deal.

United have just got back inside that top four and finished second in the Premier League, But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows that he needs to keep adding to the squad over the course of the window as Manchester City will be stronger next season.

That has led to a whole load of rumours that Solskjaer wants to add another striker and midfielder to the squad, with a number of world class players linked, with the latest reports claiming that United are very keen on Haaland.

But even if they did land Haaland, his arrival would present other problems at Old Trafford. That’s because The Guardian says Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola would demand wages of £300,000 per week for the striker.

That is way short of the world’s top earners, like Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo, but would still shatter United’s current wage structure.

United fans are getting excited about the possible arrivals that could arrive at the club in the coming windows, but if they do get their top transfer target, they will be a real force next season

Haaland is already one of the most deadly strikers in world football and adding him to the squad will send a real message to the rest of the Premier League that the club are looking to win this Premier League title

It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
