United star in Newcastle to discuss summer move to join Howe revolution

It has been claimed that Man United stopper Dean Henderson has been in Newcastle to discuss a move to the Toon

Henderson was expected to take over as the Red Devils’ number one following an impressive two-year loan stint at Sheffield United between 2018 and 2020, but that has not happened.

Such has been the impressive nature of David de Gea’s form that Henderson has been limited to just 29 appearance since – only three of them in this campaign – And he is not happy with the kind of game time that he has been receiving

The 25-year-old still has three years to run on his current contract, but Man United have told the stopper that they won’t stand in his way if a suitable offer comes in – opening the door to a possible move to Newcastle

Now The Manchester Evening News claim that Henderson, 25, was in Newcastle for talks on Wednesday and Discussions have been held over a loan deal but a permanent move has “not been ruled out”.

Look, Henderson is far too good to be sitting on the bench at Old Trafford, he needs to be playing

Newcastle are a club with big ambitions, so it would be the perfect time to join the Toon, as we said, they have big ambitions and we are expecting a very busy summer for the board.

He is a stopper that will add something to that Toon squad and if the reports are true – is certainly a player that fans would like to see arrive

So we are fully expecting an announcement that he is heading to Newcastle – he would be a fool not too
