‘He’s such a top player’: Declan Rice admits to being left shocked by impressive £27M Arsenal star

Declan Rice has admitted his surprise at the early and strong relationship he has built up with Arsenal team-mate Leandro Trossard

Rice has been at ARSENAL for the past few weeks now after making that monster move from West Ham – which will cost the Gunners £105 million – and he has been settling into life at the club and forging new friendships.

Trossard was a player that Mikel Arteta brought into the club during the January window – and since his move to the Emirates – he has made a big impact on the squad and the fans with his impressive performances.

And now it seems that Rice is the latest name to be impressed with the Belgian star.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

“You know what? I think from the first day when I was there, Leandro Trossard,” said Rice.

“You wouldn’t put us two together, I would say, but he’s a really, really top guy. I sat next to him on the plane. I’ve been with him here quite a lot. He’s just an all-round top person.

“I’ve really got on with him and playing against him in the past as well, he was always a pain so it’s nice to have him on my side now.

“He’s such a top player, but I feel like with everyone here, like all of the Brazilian guys, the Portuguese guys, the French guys, like everyone is so top, and from the outside you see Arsenal was like a big family together.

“And that’s exactly what it is inside the dressing room, which is really good.”

Trossard was a brilliant buy for Arsenal back in the January window and now that he has fully settled into life as a Gunner – we are expecting big things from him for the club next season.

Rice has not had the best of pre-seasons for Arsenal so far – but once he gets used to the way that Arteta works and the way Arsenal play – he will have a massive impact on the squad too.

ARSENAL have been doing some great business over the last few windows and it is great to see that new players can walk in and feel like they are part of a family straight away.
