PL Boss OFFICIALLY gives update on £39M stars proposed move to Chelsea
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has given an update on Chelsea target Michael Olise.
Mauricio Pochettino has only seen Kendry Paez, Diego Moreira, Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku make the move to Stamford Bridge this summer and is keen to keep on adding to his side.
The winger was in electrifying form throughout the campaign, becoming the first-ever Palace player to record double digits for assists in an individual Premier League season.
Palace would seek upwards of £55m to allow Olise to leave and Hodgson admits is aware that the winger’s future is in the balance.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“No one knows at this moment,” he told Sky Sports. “If there are clubs desperately/seriously preparing a bid and tempting him then he’ll have a decision.
“I can only wait and see what decision is he going to make. He knows we are very keen to keep him.
“You can never be certain that the players you’ve got, like, want are definitely going to stay – we have a transfer market.
“I can only hope that market doesn’t on this occasion punish us by persuading one of our very important players to move.”
WOULD OLISE BE A GOOD SIGNING.
The lad is very talented and definitely a player that Pochettino could mold into something special, and the fact he has the ability to play in a number of positions, ye he would be a very good signing for CHELSEA .
But then again – is it really a good move for the lad? He will not get the game time that he is at Palace and could struggle to make an impact in that Blues side with all the quality they have.
It will be an interesting one to watch over the next few weeks – but the lad has a very big decision to make.
