Alderweireld message, Icardi to Premier league, Skriniar offer, Carrasco update in Man United Thursday gossip and rumours

There’s been a lot of transfer talk surrounding Manchester United this month. If you’re wondering where we stand at the moment with all their potential deals, here’s the latest…

Manchester United target Mauro Icardi’s agent Wanda Nara has suggested the forward could be on his way to England, having yet to sign a new deal with Inter Milan.

United have a top-class attack that is lacking in fire-power as they simply cannot achive their goals of getting back to the very top of the game with the inconcistent Romelu Lukaku, who has struggled in front of goal this season

That has led to alot of speculation that United could join Chelsea to make a move for the Argentine striker this January, with rumours Icardi would leave the club if he simply cannot agree a deal that he wants, despte the fact he wants to stay and the fact Inter are keen on keeping hold.

And they have been given a huge boost, as his waife and agent Wanda has suggested that he could be on his way to the Premier League, as a new contract is far off from being signed.

She told Spanish outlet AS: “Icardi’s renewal with Inter is a long way off as things stand today. There are very important clubs that are interested in signing Mauro and we are very far from reaching an agreement [with Inter].

“‘We have a very good relationship with the two biggest clubs in Spain who are very interested in Mauro, as well as one in France and one in England.

Unai Emery has reportedly decided to sanction a transfer bid for Yannick Carrasco after Arsenal were offered the chance to sign the Belgium international

Despite spending over £70 million in the summer transfer window, Gunners boss Unai Emery is still keen to splash the cash over the next few transfer windows and keep improving his side, and Carrasco is reportedly on his shopping list.

The former Atletico Madrid star caused controversy nine months ago when he decided to join Dalian Yifang alongside teammate Nicolas Gaitan in big-money moves.

However, Carrasco is reportedly on the lookout for a club in Europe and Arsenal, who have been linked with a move for the winger since 2016, are ready to swoop in and try to bring him to England for a bargain fee.

The report on Foot Mercato claim Emery has responded favourably to the opportunity to sign Carrasco and a formal bid is expected ‘in the coming days’.

Emery already has a number of attackers and midfielders to pick from in his squad, but with Aaron Ramsey all set to join Juventus this month, the Spanish boss knows he needs an immedite replacement for the gifted Welshman.

However, Manchester United are reportedly also in the chase for Carrasco and are reportedly also preparing an offer to bring the midfielder back to European football.

Manchester United target Toby Alderweireld has said he is happy with the clause which will keep him at Tottenham for another year.

Alderweireld is ragarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League right now, and his leadership at the back has helped Tottenham become one of the best defensive sides in the English top flight, but there has been alot of speculation that he will be leaving.

It has been claimed that he has asked for a new deal that Spurs are not prepared to offer, as it would exceed their wage budget, and speculaion suggested that Spurs would sell this month if the right amount of money was offered.

United, along with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have all been linked with possible moves for Alderweireld, but Spurs have now decided to keep hold and activate a clause in his contract which keeps him at the club for another season.

And despite not signing a new long-term deal, Alderweireld has admitted he is happy with the extension, telling the Sky Sports website: “I’m very happy to stay another year. It was (a clause) in my contract and I’m happy Spurs gave me the confidence to stay another year.

“I’m only focused on things on the pitch. People can see every time I play that I give 100 per cent for this club – this is what I keep doing every time I play.”

Fresh reports have claimed Manchester United have made a £54m (€60m) bid for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

United are reportedly in the transfer market for a new defender after starting the new season with some poor performances at the back, which all culminated in the sacking of Jose Mourinho, who constantly stated that the back-line was not up to the standard that he needed.

That has led to speculation that United are lining up a mega money move for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly, who is now regarded as one of the finest defenders in Europe. But with Napoli playing hard-ball over any possible deal and sticking a reported £108 million price tag on the head of the defender, United have reportedly been put off.

Now reports on the TuttoMercato website have claimed United are desperate to sign Skriniar, 23 this month and have already made a massive £54m (€60m) offer for Inter Milan centre-back.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may not be the permanent manager just yet, but he would love to add a world class scentr-back to the back-line and there are not too many defenders out there right now that have the ability to Skriniar.

However, United are not the only club interested in a deal as Chelsea, Real Madrid and Juventus have also been linked with a mega money swoop.
