Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Alan Hutton has insisted Joshua Kimmich is exactly the kind of player Liverpool need

Liverpool have not had the best of seasons and will look to delve into that transfer kitty to add players to the side that will freshen up the squad and help them get back to challenging for titles.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in signing the 28-year-old this summer.

Kimmich’s current contract runs until 2025 after joining from Stuttgart almost eight years ago, but there has been rumours that Bayern would be open to letting the midfielder depart the club.

The German club are looking for at least £52million to part ways with the midfielder and are unlikely to lower their asking price, especially as they are keen to add to their squad.

Now – amid all the speculation – Hutton insisted the addition of the German international would be incredible for the Reds

Wow, I think it would be an outstanding signing for Liverpool,” he told Football Insider.

At 28 he has still got a lot of football left in him, he is an outstanding football player but I can’t see him leaving where he is if I am honest.

I think it would be a really good signing for Liverpool and I think that is the kind of player they need to rebuild the midfield but I do not see it happening.

Kimmich is a world class player and we are massively shocked to see that Bayern are even considering letting him leave the club.

But he would be a top-class signing for the Reds that is for sure

BELLINGHAM BOOST –

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl says the Bundesliga club are still yet to receive offers for  LIVERPOOL target Jude Bellingham.

Recent reports have claimed that Jurgen Klopp would like to add another number six to the side – especially with James Milner leaving the club in the summer.

The midfielder is out of contract at Anfield – and although he would have liked to stay at the club – it is believed that the Liverpool board do not want to pay his massive wages and would allow him to depart.

However – Bellingham is now seemingly on his way to Madrid after the Spaniards opened talks with Borussia Dortmund about a possible deal at the end of the current seasons.

However – it has been claimed that Real Madrid are in advanced talks to sign the England midfielder this summer, with the Spanish club also targeting Kylian Mbappe and Alphonso Davies.

But Kehl says Bellingham is solely focused on Saturday’s game with Mainz, where Dortmund can clinch the title if they match Bayern Munich’s result, and has claimed that no offers has actually arrived yet

“Of course there are rumours but there’s nothing on the table,” Kehl told The Athletic.

“No proposals. All focus on Saturday. I’m sure Jude thinks about nothing else.”

MAC ALLISTER CLAIM MADE –

Jose Enrique believes Alexis Mac Allister can come in and help LIVERPOOL star Trent Alexander-Arnold move back into his old role.

Frank McAvennie has suggested Alexis Mac Allister may be a better option for Liverpool than Jude Bellingham.

There are still a few weeks left of the season to play out and Liverpool are still hoping to get back into those Champions League places in a bid to save their season.

But the transfer window will give Liverpool the chance to sign a few players that will freshen up the side, and Mac Allister is a man that is on the shopping list of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

According to recent reports on TyC Sports, Liverpool have now finalised a deal to sign Mac Allister from Brighton at the end of the season.

The report claims that Liverpool will pay Brighton in the region of £70 million for the World Cup winner.

Now – ahead of his possible arrival to the club – Enrique believes Mac Allister can come in and help Alexander-Arnold move back into his old role

Speaking to SafeBettingSites: “I don’t understand why people are so obsessed with Trent in this position though. Arteta has done it with Oleksandr Zinchenko the whole season, Pep has done it with Cancelo before he went to Bayern Munich.

‘John Stones has also played as a midfielder coming in from his right back or centre back role.

“I like Trent there in that role when we have the ball because right now we don’t have a midfielder that can distribute the ball like Trent can. Alexis Mac Allister can do that if he comes here because he has that quality.

‘I think Trent and Kevin De Bruyne are the best right-footed players in the league and top two in the world.

“I like his role, but at the end of the day he is a right back. He has been the best for two or three years in that role. I like the vision he has but his position is a right back.’”
