West Ham and Inter Milan in talks over deal for Italian International

Scamacca

Inter Milan are still in active talks with West Ham United to try and sign striker Gianluca Scamacca.

The 24-year-old signed from Sassuolo last summer in a deal worth over £30m and there were high hopes for him in east London after scoring 16 goals in his last season in Italy.

However – despite all the hype and despite all the excitement – he has not been a hit in England, scoring eight goals in all competitions this season but just three in the Premier League.

The Italy international signed a five-year contract with West Ham when he arrived in 2022 but he is already been linked with a swift move back to Italian football – with the six Seria A clubs linked with a move for the big man.

He had been given permission to fly back to Italy for personal reasons – and while there it seemed the forward issued another come and get me plea to potential clubs – and Inter joined the chase.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

According to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, the contacts between the Nerazzurri and the Hammers are ongoing regarding a possible deal for the 24-year-old Italian international.

TIME TO LET HIM GO?

The man should have been a Premier League hit and a player that should be scoring a ton of goals – he is built for the English game.

If he wants to leave WEST HAM – just let him go – and then use the money to sign a player that actually wants to be at the club.

There are a few options out there that the Hammers can try and sign – so even though he may be missed by some fans at the club – judging by his performances last season, he will not be missed too much by the club.

Getting used to England and EPL, and clearly wasn’t fit, thought he looked good in patches. I personally would have loved to see him this season with Paqueta behind him and maybe someone closer to him like Ings or Mubama. However if he wants out (who knows really?) then cut our losses. However I think we could live to regret it, I’ve a feeling this lad will be class
