Maizga completes summer move – Tuchel wants Auba at Chelsea – Zaha message sent in Chelsea news of the day –

FC Cincinnati have completed the signing of United States men’s national team defender Matt Miazga from Chelsea – and he is delighted with the move

Maizga has been at Stamford Bridge for six seasons now – but has only managed two first team appearances during that time as he has been shipped out on loan a dozen of times

But he has now decided to make a move back to the MLS and play for Cincinnati – where he has agreed a three-year contract with the club – and he is absolutely delighted with the deal

He said: “I’m really excited to join FC Cincinnati. It’s a pleasure to be back in the United States and be able to compete in MLS again

“The project here in Cincinnati is something that has drawn me here, and I want to say a special thank you to Jeff Berding, Chris Albright and Pat Noonan, who were all a big part of me coming to FCC.

“I can’t wait to meet all the amazing supporters, who I’ve heard so many good things about, at TQL stadium.”

Chris Albright, FC Cincinnati general manager, is delighted to have him on board due to his previous experience in MLS and winning mentality.

“Matt is a dominant defender that has a wealth of experience internationally and across numerous leagues in Europe,” said Albright.

“But his knowledge of what it takes to compete and win in MLS, along with his high character and mentality, are what drew us to this opportunity.

“We feel he’s an excellent fit to the group that we’re building, and we are delighted to bring him to FC Cincinnati.”

This move was the right decision for the man to make

Tuchel wants Auba –

Thomas Tuchel has told Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and demanded he only sign world class players.

Chelsea starts their season against Everton in Saturday’s late kick-off – and have seen a number of new stars come through the door at Stamford Bridge.

But these are still not enough for Tuchel, who has reportedly described his squad as average – and he is keen to keep adding to the side in order to compete for that Premier League title

It is now secret that the German boss wants to add another striker to that attack and has been linked with so many big names over the past few months – but so far – no deal has been done

But there has been a few rumours in the media over the past few days that Chelsea are very interested in trying to bring Aubameyang back to the Premier League

And according to Florian Plettenberg, the German coach wants to add Aubameyang to his squad next, having previously worked with him while at Borussia Dortmund.

However, Barcelona want to keep the former Arsenal man as a top back up to Lewandowski, with them preferring Memphis Depay to leave instead.

Aubameyang joined the club on a free transfer in January, scoring 13 times in 23 games – and was a player that fans have fallen in love with

A couple of seasons ago – Auba would have been a massive signing for Chelsea – he was one of the best in world football – but now he is not and will have to sit on the Bench at Barca and watch Robert Lewandowski take all the glory

It was a massive shock to see him linked with Chelsea – it would be astonishing to see him actually make the move back to London

Zaha message sent –

It has been claimed that Chelsea are very much interested in trying to sign Wilfred Zaha from Crystal Palace –

Chelsea were expected to make some big transfer signings this summer that would see a couple of defenders – a midfielder and a striker all make the move to Stamford Bridge

But despite all the speculation and all the rumours – Chelsea have only managed to secure the services of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly – which has improved the squad – but not enough

And that now means that ChelseaFC will need to delve into the transfer kitty over the remaining weeks of the transfer window and finally secure some transfer signings – and it has been claimed Tuchel has added Zaha to his shortlist

According to the SUN, palace will not let him leave for free when his contract expires at the end of next season and are open to letting the attacker leave this summer for the right price

Now – according to journalist Simon Phillips – Chelsea are very much interested in trying to sign the attacker – Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “Wilfried Zaha, I’ve been told there’s still interest there. Obviously that’s historical interest from Chelsea’s side before the new owners.

“Something could be done there at the end of the window with Zaha, one year left on his contract, and Chelsea have always admired him.

“And I think Tuchel has the same way of thinking there. So he wouldn’t be an expensive signing to do, and I think he would be the kind of player that Tuchel would really like.”

Zaha is always in the media about a possible move away from Palace – especially as he is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League

He should have left a couple of seasons ago, he has become a bit stale at Palace – and his performances have been too inconsistent.

But if ChelseaFC do make a move in the summer, they will need to get him for the right price

He has been brilliant in the Premier League and now would be the best time to get him – he is playing the best football of his career
