£70m Isco officially sends Chelsea and Man United January transfer message

Chelsea and Manchester United target Isco has played down reports linking him with a move to the Premier League by claiming that he will not be leaving Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

Reports in the media over the last few months suggested that the Spanish International was not happy at the Bernabeu after finding his game time hard to come by under Santiago Solari.

It was believed that both United and Chelsea were ready to pay the £70 million asking price for Isco and bring him to the Premier League this January, as they both look to strengthen for a tough back end finish to the season.

And it even seemed that fans had even turned on the player, after Isco was booed by Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu during their 3-0 defeat to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League earlier in the season.

But Isco has shocked both Chelsea and United by declaring that he is more than happy to stay at the Bernabeu, and is not leaving in the coming transfer window.

‘I’m very excited about the new year,’ Isco told Deportes Cuatro.

‘I’m not going to go in the winter market, I’m very happy, of course I want to continue with Madrid to continue winning titles.’

Could Isco still leave at the end of the season?

Although Isco has admitted that he is very happy at Madrid and has no intention of leaving, the Spanish giants have become frustrated that he has not fulfilled his potential at the club and will look to sell on if the right offer comes in.

Madrid are looking to splash the cash in the coming windows, and any money raised from the sale of a number of players will go towards their potential Galactico deals.
