Italian confirms Chelsea move to sign Star – Fans told new signing ‘REAL DEAL’ – Chelsea interested in Spaniard

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Chelsea ‘s interest in Youssoufa Moukoko.

Moukoko has been on the books of Dortmund since 2016 and has broken into the first team.

He is one of the most exciting talents in the Bundesliga right now and there is alot of speculation that a number of Premier League clubs are looking to get a transfer deal done

The Blues have been one of the busiest sides this month, having already splashed the cash to sign David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile, Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk as Graham Potter looks to strengthen his squad for the second phase of the season.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from the Bundesliga outfit as he enters the final six months of his deal – and it has been claimed that Chelsea have made a ‘substantial verbal approach’ for the striker, leapfrogging the Newcastle in their pursuit.

Now – amid the speculation – Romano has opened up and confirmed that Chelsea are still interested in the young man: “Interest in Youssoufa Moukoko was strong,” Romano told Caught Offside.

“Newcastle had serious contacts and Chelsea spoke to his agents but the player was always keen on staying at Borussia Dortmund.

“He loves the club, he has great relationship with the fans and the coach Edin Terzic so decided to accept a three year deal.”

But Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastien Kehl recently admitted that they would like the young man to stay – speaking to German outlet Kicker, as quoted by The Shields Gazette, the Dortmund chief said: “We have put together a very attractive offer that gives him a lot of room for development.

“That should lead to a decision. He has to make it with his environment and his advisor. Youssoufa can now accept this offer and commit to Borussia Dortmund – or we will go our separate ways.

“I would like him to choose us because he is not yet at the end of his development and I see potential in him. But there are limits for us as a club. And we have shown these limits. Now it’s up to him to confess in a timely manner.”

Raya wanted –

According to transfer guru Simon Phillips, Chelsea are interested in signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya this summer.

There are still a few weeks to go in the transfer window – meaning that the Blues still have plenty of time to do some more business – and now it seems that Raya isa  man that the club are interested in.

Kepa has been decent since coming back into the side this season – but still looks like a man that can make a mistake or two – while Edouard Menyd has been out for some time and is considering his future at the club.

And according to Phillips – Chelsea are now interested in a deal for Raya – Phillips told GiveMeSport: “I did an article probably about two or three weeks ago on goalkeepers because I was told at the time that Chelsea are not talking with (Edouard) Mendy at the moment about a new contract, and it is looking likely that he could be heading out in the summer.

“So, Chelsea had been making plans for goalkeepers for the last two or three months. And Raya was one of the names I was given when I first wrote that article, so I know that there’s interest.”

Raya is a very good Premier League stopper that has been decent for Brentford – but is he really a better stopper than Kepa or Mendy? that is a question the club have to ask themselves.

But the club have shown that if they want a player – they will get them – no matter the cost.

Mudryk Real Deal –

Steven Gerrard believes Mykhailo Mudryk ‘looks the real deal’ after his impressive debut for Chelsea in their goalless draw with Liverpool on Saturday.

Mudryk was unveiled as Chelsea’s latest signing at Stamford Bridge last weekend and has been training with his new team-mates this week ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

And after seeing the winger make the move to Stamford Bridge and his performances against Liverpool at the weekend – Gerrard has opened up and claimed that Mudryk looks like the real deal

‘If I’m a Chelsea fan I would be extremely excited by Mudryk,’ Gerrard told BT Sport after the game.

‘I thought that was a very strong cameo. If he’s not fit and there’s more to come from him, then that’s really exciting. He looks the real deal.

‘He reminded me a bit of [Arjen] Robben. His footwork and how quick he is, I would be very excited.’

Mudryk showed some glimpses as to why he was so in demand this transfer window – and why Chelsea splashed so much cash to get a transfer deal done.

Fans are excited to see just what he brings to the club as they have been missing an exciting winger for some time now – he really looks like a lad that can develop into a real star.

It will not be interesting to see just how he copes for the rest of the season – especially as the British media will get on his case and try to throw him off his game.

But good start and looks like a good signing.
