Italian boss admits possible Arsenal signing ‘deserves’ big move ahead of possible Emirates move
Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has admitted that ARSENAL target Alexis Mac Allister “deserve” to play at a higher level.
Caicedo has developed into one of the most sought after young midfielders in the Premier League – and a man that has been heavily tipped with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool over the past few months.
He was heavily tipped for a move to Arsenal in the January window – but that never happened and he ended up staying put to help Brighton get European football for the first time in their history.
Liverpool are the clear favourites to get a transfer deal done – but that has not stopped speculation in the media which has suggested that the Gunners will be back in the summer window to make a fresh move for the player – and now they have seemingly been given the green light over a possible deal
Speaking ahead of Brighton’s final home match of the season tomorrow, De Zerbi has admitted that some of his best players deserve to be playing at a higher level – he said: “It can be the last game but I don’t know.
“They can have the possibility to change (clubs) because they deserve to play at another level.
“But now we can offer them the possibility to play in Europe because our level is bigger now. We can offer them one possibility more.”

Mac Allister has been brilliant for Brighton this season – he really is a classy midfielder.
He is ready to make that move to another club – and will probably end up at Liverpool. But he may see how Leandro Trossard has thrived at ARSENAL and may believe that a move to the Emirates could be the better option.
It will be interesting to see just where the man ends up in the summer
