Man United target told he should run from Madrid, Frenchman to Old Trafford as Barca to sell, Striker tells Solskjaer how much he will cost in summer
Guys here is a roundup of the latest Manchester United news, gossip and transfer news from icfootballnews.com
Colombia legend Carlos Valderrama says he would be ‘running away’ from Real Madrid if he was in James Rodriguez’s position, with Chelsea reportedly interested in a transfer deal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not handed the kind of funds that he had hoped he would get during the January window and only managed to secure transfer deals for the brillian Bruno Fernandes, who has added that extra special little something to this United side
But there is a feeling that Solskjaer still needs to improve the side during the summer transfer window and try and acquire some world class players that will make a difference to this United side and get them challenging for all the major titles once again, like they should be doing.
And Rodriguez is a great option for the club, especially as all indications suggest that he is done at Madrid and could leave the club for the right amount of money, reportedly around the £50 million mark.
Now the Red Devils have been boosted in their chase to land Rodriguez after legend Valdarrama told his fellow Colombian that he ‘would be running away’ from Madrid: ‘James is big enough to make his own decisions now,’ the iconic Colombian told Caracol Radio.
‘If it was me, I’d be running away from Madrid. ‘He’s good enough to play for any team. I wouldn’t doubt him for an instant.
‘He’s a great player, he’s already proved it. He can start for any other team, he’s got the quality to play anywhere in the world.’
With Ole Gunnar looking to spend some serious money during the summer transfer window, there was some speculation in the media that the Spanish boss is seeking to add some world class defenders to his squad, with Umtiti high up on the shopping list.
United may have spent some serious money in the summer transfer window bringing in Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bassia, but there are some serious issues at the back that Solskjaer needs to sort out and he needs a decent partner for the impressing Maguire.
**Do you have something to say about your club? Send us an article for discussion!**Manchester United target Raul Jimenez has personally revealed he will cost at least £34.5million this summer – as doesn’t have a release clause in his Wolves contract.
After recently becoming the club’s top scorer in Premier League history – netting his 23rd league goal to overtake Steven Fletcher’s 22, interest in a Premier League deal has taken another leap forward, with United hot on the list of possible suitors
Jimenez, 28, has 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League this season for Champions League hopefuls Wolves, and we believe that he could be a good buy for the United, especially after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to sign any strikers during the January transfer window.
He is a very good player who has had a great season, and from what we are hearing, there will be a lot of top clubs trying to sign him in the summer, but despite all the interest, he could do a job at United, he could be a great partner for Marcus Rashford.
But United may be forced to dig deep in their pockets to try and complete a deal, as Speaking of a potential summer transfer, Jimenez revealed that he wont be sold for anything less that the £34.5 million that Wolves paid to acquire his services.
He was quoted on THE SUN: “[Wolves] bought me for €40million (£34.5m), they won’t sell me for less.
“There is no release clause, but with clubs [in England], it is different how they are managed.”
If United do actually come calling, it will be interesting to see if he actually turns down a move to one of the biggest clubs in the game as he is definitely a striker that could come in and do a great job for the Re Devils.
