Arsenal are the team to be joining right now – they have one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League and working under Mikel Arteta – he could develop like he hasn’t so far.
However – he would be behind some great and exciting players – so honestly, there is no point in signing for the Premier League leaders unless he can do more than keep the bench warm.
Arsenal want Rice –
Arsenal may have landed Chelsea’s Jorginho on transfer deadline day – but they still want to sign West Ham star Declan Rice.
Arsenal were very much interested in a deal for the impressive Caicedo – as they felt that they need to add another box-to-box midfielder to the squad to help ease the pressure on Thomas Partey.
Partey has been brilliant this season for the club, but he is now out for a while after picking up an injury, but the Gunners failed to get a deal done for Caicedo and ultimately decided to make a move for Jorginho.

Rice is one of the most sought-after young midfielders in world football and his next move is a subject of much speculation, with a number of top clubs very much interested in a deal for the player.
He is a man that is tipped to become one of the very best holding midfielders in the game and has even reportedly told the Gunners that he will sign with them at the end of the season.
A move to Arsenal would be an excellent destination for the English midfielder for a number of reasons, according to reporter Iomie Stanley
‘New challenge: Rice has been with West Ham United for the majority of his career, and a move to Arsenal would provide him with a new challenge and a chance to prove himself at a higher level.
‘Managerial stability: Mikel Arteta has done a fantastic job in stabilizing the club since his arrival and has instilled a winning mentality in the team. Rice would have a manager who knows how to get the best out of his players and would be able to develop under his guidance.
‘Squad building: Arsenal is in the midst of a squad overhaul, and Rice would be an important part of that process.
‘With a number of talented young players already at the club, including Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Thomas Partey, Rice would be joining a team with a bright future.
‘Premier League experience: Rice has already established himself as one of the best young talents in the Premier League and a move to Arsenal would give him the opportunity to test himself against the best teams in the league.
‘Tactical flexibility: Rice is a versatile player who can play in a number of different positions, including central midfield, defensive midfield, and centre-back.
‘This versatility would make him an excellent asset to Arsenal, as Arteta looks to build a team that can play a number of different systems.
‘Fan culture: Arsenal has a passionate and supportive fan base, who would welcome Rice with open arms. The club has a rich history and a culture of success, and Rice would be an important part of that history.
‘London: London is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the world and would provide Rice with a great lifestyle off the pitch. With a strong multicultural community and a thriving arts and culture scene, London would be an ideal place for Rice to develop both on and off the pitch.’
‘Rice would have all the ingredients for success at Arsenal. It would be a move that would challenge him, develop him, and help him establish himself as one of the best young holding midfielders in world football

“I mean, he could do a cruciate next month.”
Murphy added: “I’m sure he is [a good professional], i’m just saying there’s a possibility it will weigh on him.
“And the fact is £70m – he’s good, but that is more than a fair price.”

Caicedo is a brilliantly gifted midfielder that has been impressive for Brighton this season – and it is very easy to see just why the club were so interested in him over the January window.
If Arsenal manage to get the powerhouse for the right amount of money – he will be a great buy – but if they pay too much money – it could be a very costly risk to take
